Re: tilly to the rescue
been reading about pic posting problems... and though i've been real busy with projects i wanted to do a test to see if my mac would be effected by the changes.
going to post an older frame pic... if you don't see it, then the test was no-good and i'll have to figure out what to do. if you see the pic, then... woohoo, we're good for now. never mind... didn't work, couldn't even post the photo. all my stuff is way big and i'm real slow on the learning curve here... but we'll see what happens. for now, back to the shop----------- we're watching just not posting. |

Re: tilly to the rescue
photo reducing test... really grainy and too small for any detail to show.
went down to 440x320 before it would load. "ratz" |

Re: tilly to the rescue
What type of primers is the green primer? Do you use an epoxy base with some kind of primer that can sit for weeks but be easy to spray a sealer or whatever when you get ready to do the final paint? Epoxy is a pain to scuff or sand a month later and I worry about all those nooks and crannies, it would be nice to find something to put immediately over the epoxy!

Re: tilly to the rescue
Pic may be a bit grainy but Im in ahhh.
Your flingin' your mad skillz all over them cabs. You Rock Clem One thing I must insist on is that you make more than one post a month. Take an afternoon, grab the camera and go a little Nuttz,.,..... Totally dig your station and magic you do on the trucks. Last edited by Bomp; 08-02-2013 at 12:21 PM. |

Re: tilly to the rescue
we had a pre-hamb drags party and a bunch of buddies came up from austin with their hotrods.
the drags were faster than ever this year with some diggers and altereds in the 7's. a couple of my buddies turned some good times also but after 3 days of hanging out, i was beatup and glad to get back to normal... new stuff about the utility project soon as i get used to the photo shrinking. |

Re: tilly to the rescue
This is a great thread. Please don't let it die!
A lot of people have been having problems posting pictures lately, but I haven't, and I'm trying to figure out why. Maybe if I give you the process that I use, it will help. I have a Photobucket account, and after I download the pictures from the camera to the files in my computer, I log on to my Photobucket account and download those pictures from my computer file to Photobucket. It only takes a minute or two. Once I'm on one of my build threads, I'll have the Photobucket up as well, and when I am ready to post a picture, here's the way I do it: Go on Photobucket, click on the picture you want to attach. When it comes up, you will see on the right side of the screen four options on how you want to attach the picture. Click on the "Direct" option, and it will show "copied" in the window. At this point, you have just loaded the address into the mouse just like you do when you cut and paste. Go to this site (67-72), and whatever thread you're attaching a picture and click the "insert image" icon from the bar at the top. When the window appears, backspace and remove the "http" that's highlighted and right click the mouse, click "paste", and drop the Photobucket address into the window. Done. I have been able to attach very large pictures with no issues at all. I have not had to shrink any of the pictures to get them to attach, either. You'll need to create a Photobucket account, but it's easy and it's free. I have been doing it this way for years. Feel free to PM me, and I'll walk you through it.

Re: tilly to the rescue
Nice explanation chevyrestoguy! That's exactly how I post my pics too only I have done all my posts from my iPhone.
Hope you get the process down I've been waiting for updates....well we all have been! Sometimes we get busy with life and work and one thing I forget to remember is this is a project for me anyway. I've been crazy busy myself between work and family time. I haven't been on here much and I miss being a part of this community as well. Without this forum my build wouldn't be a fraction of where I'm at today. Posted via Mobile Device
