Plan to ship monday. Just removed grille yesterday and will now remove rivets holding upper grill trim to grille.

I'm having trouble getting the driver side set off. Instead of speed nuts there are little crimped things on there. Is there a trick to getting these off?

Hopefully sometime today, they're still trapped by that darn hard to remove dash pad.

Re: Parting BBC 1969 GMC c2500 Super Custom!

On the door cc emblems if the 3/8'' speed nuts are gone, try a pair of needle nose pliers and slowly turn whatever is holding them on to the studs. On the defrost vents, don't forget there are 2 tabs that need to be squeezed together to make removal easier.

Sounds like barrel nuts. If that is the case, they will just pry off from the outside. Get something real thin and flat and slowly work it off. Good luck...

[QUOTE=Vintage Windmills;4533492]Are you talking about the vent that is down below the dash? I would have to take the fender off to get at this piece, correct?

No, just reach inside where the push pull handle is (inside the cab) and squeeze the clip at the pivot point and lower the stud that it is holding up. The push pull part is held by (2) 5/16 screws near the handle.

If you want everything in the pic below (which includes all mounts) it will be $95 shipped. $70 shipped for just the column and everything on it but not near it in the pic. $84 shipped for the column and the steering box shaft. Let me know. Do you want the horn switch too? I'll throw it in no charge if you will use it.

6t7t72, emblems pics below. Just one broken stud on one of the script Camper ones. $40 shipped for all.

Thanks Eric, a gasket scraper did the trick. I actually ended up fighting the speed nut more on the other one. The one stud that I broke was during a fight with this speed nut that wouldn't unscrew. it just sat there spinning

Do you still have the passenger vent window? Does the chrome look like it will clean up good? Need it shipped to 22701.

Yes,

Do you want it with the long bar that goes down in the door or just the window. Same price either way except shipping will vary. Chrome is good, I can shoot a pic or two tonight if you'd like.

Shoot me a couple close ups of the chrome. Let me know the price either way, but I'm definetly interested in the window assembly, itself. How is it attached to the window channel rail? (I should know this)

Re: Parting BBC 1969 GMC c2500 Super Custom!

Got the bumper brackets and most of interior out today.

Pics of Dash pad showing largest flaws.

One defrost vent has no damage.

Headliner trim would only be good if you want to paint it.

Why isn't there more interest in the AC stuff?? I guess I'll start a separate thread for that to attract buyers. Lots of parts here.

Bummer - its the oval, passenger side (broken) defrost vent that I really need. Thanks for the effort. I'll have to pass.

Re: Parting BBC 1969 GMC c2500 Super Custom!

Tim, PM sent about power brake, let me know. I think this is the heavy duty system with dual diaphragms, which allows for a smaller size with same or greater braking power, In other words- a good system.

Shipped the bumper brackets, PS system, T400 linkage, inside mirror and hood latch setup today. Thanks guys.

I think the AC stuff will sell much better in July or August lol.
