Re: dbombs53 short box

Finally, I finished installing new brake lines and fuel lines. Too many trips back and forth to the auto parts store. I got my trans delivered Sat. Bonus, it had an aluminum finned pan and billet after market dip stick. Now I need to find the right flywheel to install. Anyone have a part number for a flywheel?

I'm not too sure if this helps, but here are a few pictures of the after. I didn't get any during pics. The cross member was cut down 2" and re welded. The steering gear box was moved up about 1.5". and the front section of the frame has a slite notch.

The part number for the flywheel is a Pioneer Automotive Industries LLC. FRA-112. And the starter is Ultima Domestic 03-0236, O'Riley Auto Parts. This is for a 292 engine and a 200R4 trans.

Re: dbombs53 short box

I got my motor and trans connected on Wednesday and installed it into the truck last night. After talking to Dloe, I found out that I need to trim back a section off the hump to allow room for clearance. My trans came with a deep Hughs Performance pan. Once I trim up the hump, I'm hoping everthing will fit without scapping. I measured and cut my headers to fit inside the frame rails. I'll find out Saturday when I install the trans cross member. The one shown in the picture is temporary.
