I second that! It usually gets cold here, but these 15* highs and below 0 lows are really cramping my ambition!

Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build

Yeah it's way too cold for me...I think I need to move to AZ...of course, then I would probably complain that it's too hot.

Well, keep up the good work so that those of us stuck in this cold crap have something to follow

Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build

I decided to take a brake from welding this weekend and finish
taking this thing apart. I want to get engine and trans out by the end of the
weekend. I also had some little helpers today!

Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build

I got motor and trans out today also tore motor down for rebuild looked good
inside. Its a 350 that has never been rebuilt all standard sizes.
Also a little bonus its a 4 bolt main. I forgot how messy it is when you tear
down a motor oil and antifreeze everywhere!

See trucks do rust in AZ its amazing how much damage a few leaves can do.
Do they repop this section of the cowl?

Go the the Parts forum and check with TKorinek or TeeItUp and see if they will cut off just the patches you need.

They do make that part but it appears to be pricy. I wish they made that one when I was redoing mine.

I know I have seen these in other places than LMC.

Great work on the roof, sucks to see on the cowl. Nice score on the 4 bolt main! It's really taking shape real nice! Keep at it!

Thanks the roof really is the bulk of the work and its kicked my butt!
Yea the 4 bolt is nice to see but i took my standard crank down to the machine shop and they said the "thrust "was out of it and needs welded
and it was probly cheaper to find another crank. He has some core cranks he can turn for an extra 50 bucks. Not sure what Im going to do yet.
