Re: Pink's 68/72 - Dropmember Equipped Build

Nice progress. I've been eying those Ridlers myself for my new beater. They are hard to beat for the price.

I've got the 18s that I'm using as rollers on the '67 but really think I need another set

Thanks! Yeah, these are the Ridler 650's but they are almost identical to the US Mags Ramblers. The only difference I could see is that they offer slightly different sizes in terms of widths. The Ridlers were also a little bit cheaper which is why I got them instead of the US Mags.

Re: Pink's 68/72 - Dropmember Equipped Build

Not much progress since my daughter was born. I was finally able to get back in the garage yesterday so I got a few small things done and a few parts ordered as well.

I picked up a set of the Hooker manifolds. I plan on doing a black Cerakote on these.

I also got a new flywheel and also ordered a Circle D torque converter which should arrive in the next couple days.

Bag mounts are fully welded on and I spent some time cleaning the axle tubes. You wouldn't believe how much crap was built up in there. This should be going out for blasting and powder coat in the next week or so.

Also got my fuel lines ran up to the filter/regulator. I used Notchead line clamps which are pretty sweet. The lines snap in tightly but can easily be removed for maintenance. They make them for all sorts of hard and braided lines.

I think I bought mine from Jegs but here is the website for the manufacturer so you can see all the different sizes they offer.

Re: Pink's 68/72 - Dropmember Equipped Build

I was only at SEMA one day this year so I'm sure I missed a bunch but here's a taste of the C-10's (plus burbs & blazers) from the show this year.

Right hand drive with a power rear window. Definitely something you don't see every day.

I didn't get a pic of the interior but trust me, it was even nicer on the inside!

Re: Pink's 68/72 - Dropmember Equipped Build

Got the rear brakes installed, wheels mounted and finally have a rolling chassis. It's probably been 6 years since this thing was rolling around. I soaked that in for about 30 seconds and then laid it out on the ground.

Thanks!

I got a few more things done recently. The exhaust is back with fresh black cerakote and installed on the engine. I also installed the differential cover and started making the spark plug wires. I got 4 done before my crimping tool broke so now I'm waiting on a new tool to arrive before I finish them up.

Looks great! What front sway bar are you running with your PB dropmember?

I'm not sure of the brand. It's the sway bar that PBFab supplies as an option for the dropmember.

Thanks! I know at one time PB was using the ADDCO 117 bar, but was unsure if this was a direct bolt-on OR if PB was modifying the ADDCO to fit their arms / system.

Now, they are building their own sway bars.
