Re: SPID Picture thread?
You say few options, I say blank canvas.
A PO put this cab on a 1971, 4wd chassis. I've added tach, cruise, auto tranny, dual exhaust, fog lights, AC, 383, and probably other things I can't think of right now.

Re: SPID Picture thread?
Kinda crazy question, but is there some place that list all options and codes for SPID tags? Also was the codes the same for GMC and Chevy? Like if it was a black colth interior would it be the same code? I dont have a SPID in my truck and once its completed I would like to make one.
Thanks! |

Why is there an extra C in the VIN?

Re: SPID Picture thread?
If I am not mistaken the CC in the VIN is for the Conventional Cab type of truck.

Re: SPID Picture thread?
Here's the SPID on Grandpa's '68 longhorn, he bought this thing with a matching slide in camper....also a '68 model...white and gold to match the truck from the factory.

Re: SPID Picture thread?
First C means 2wd, second C must mean Canada, or other export?

Re: SPID Picture thread?
Actually the first C was used in 72 to identify that it was a Chevy, if the first character is a T it is a GMC VIN.

Re: SPID Picture thread?
Here's mine. My dad had it repainted with white/olive/white/olive, added the chrome bumper option and rally wheels. So it's not quite accurate but it's still pretty cool.
