Pic 1 Grinding down the welds.
Pic 2 Installing round corners on the bed rail, used exhaust tubing 90's. Pic 3 Welded in metal, also welded to stack pocket to make it real solid. Then weld another patch finish off the hole.

Re: Jimbo's 67 Long bed step side build
I'm enjoying the story (even tho I don't always post to say so). Your metal sculpting skills are impressive (and the size of your shop, too). Thanx for sharing.

I'm loving this build. I'm working on a 69 C-20 long step myself.

Re: Jimbo's 67 Long bed step side build
Thanks for the compliments. My son is helping on this build, so some of the work is his and some mine. Shop is 30X40 and at times, there isn't enough room (we all say that)....Jim

I'm building this one for my son. He's only 7, so thankfully I have plenty of time.

Re: Jimbo's 67 Long bed step side build
Be careful, time has a way of getting away from you. My son and I were going to do a build together when he was 20, he turns 40 this year and we are finally starting a build together for him. He's doing most of the work, I'm just giving fatherly advise.
