It's funny you mentioned Kool-aid in your PM. My brother had a perfect parchment set stained in his K10 Cheyenne Super from a Dairy Queen Cherry Mister Misty....... He is still boycotting them! Sharpie

Hi Tom, no you did not buy it. 72 Super committed pending condition in post #43, very similar to your post #79 asking about condition. You know as well as anyone how hard it is to keep up and be fair on these threads. I do my best and try to be as fair as possible. Thanks, Sharpie

Hi Dennis, No problem here. These threads get so long that reading every post is hard and by the time you get to the end you forget the beginning. I had missed the earlier post. Oh well, some times your the windshield and some times your the bug. I do have a nice pair of plain 72 black door panels if your interested. Thanks, Tom

Oh yea, don't forget our seat belt deal!

Re: 1972 Cheyenne Super woodgrain interior. Near NOS!

Hope I didn't step on any toes here. I did tell Dennis I would take the parts I was interested in, pending my questions pertaining to their condition. We had a couple of conversations over the phone, and with the time differences between us, it took a couple of days. I did ask if they were still available when we spoke and also stated the same in my post as I saw a few other people inquring also.

Thanks,
Ray

Re: 1972 Cheyenne Super woodgrain interior. Near NOS!

Does it have a tilt in it? Not wanting to buy, just curious because it has a black dash pad and column, and with parchment interior in a light yellow truck, I would think they both would have been sandalwood, unless it was equipped with a tilt. That, and you did a good job of not posting a pic of the column.

No tilt, no tach..... Dang the luck! I have a 72 Cheyenne on the way with buckets, A.C. and a true 4 speed tilt. Sharpie

My toes are feeling just fine. It's all good. I suppose the only thing that could helped prevent the confusion would have been posting what your payment was paying for. Congrats on the buy. It is a very hard find. I just wish I had more time to sit on the forum so I could be in first place on these rare finds.
Thanks, Tom

Just got in a new batch of woodgrain clusters. Nicest bezel with clean, working tach. gauge cluster. $325 shipped. Thanks, Sharpie

Re: 1972 Cheyenne Super woodgrain interior. Near NOS!

Sharpie - are you saying the one with the tach (in the pic, the only one with the tach) is also the nicest bezel, or are you saying you'd swap the tach into the nicest bezel? Can't tell for sure in the pics - but the one with the tach looks pretty worn around the headlight switch - but can't see those corners of the bezels on the left, out of the picture edge.

Am looking for a completely restored one, understand these are nice originals, but not perfect - but still wanted to check. would like to see a closeup of the best bezel and it's plastic chrome trim if possible. And, do you know if it's possible to get the chrome plastic re-chromed without destroying the woodgrain? Thank you.

Correct, best bezel will be swapped onto tach. dash. I've read on here that some have had the edges rechromed, but not sure if the woodgrain has to come off for that. Thanks, Sharpie

Hey Sharpie;

What kind of shape is that rear view mirror in that you use in the picture ? I've been looking for a nice 72 mirror. Is it for sale ? If so how much ?

Gary
