I may run it on the higher side. I am running a bolt in C-notch so my back end will set a little high.

Re: My 70 2wd Project begins!

I made some more progress today trying to get it ready for the body guy. I have some clearance issues that I will have to work out. My rear tires won't tuck like i need them to. The center bore on the rear wheels is to small so i can't set them back to see how tight it will be. My body guy has some work to do but it could be worse. Also had clearance issues with the gas tank. It sticks up to far?? I will be calling Doc on Monday. Enjoy!

What back spacing did you use? Is that your clearance issue?

Sorta - 2 things are causing the problem.

1 - I bought a rearend from a board member thinking it was out of 67 which would have been the width I wanted/needed, but turns out it was from a 71-72. So I am no better off than where I started.
2 - The wheels are a 4.75 lug pattern and have a smaller bore so they won't slide all the way back on the axle. Once I correct that issue, I may gain enough clearance, but will probably need to remove some inner fender as well.

Such is life!

I finally dropped off the Blazer with the guy that will be doing the painting! He just finished a nice 69 c10 so I am excited to see how it goes. I didn't have my camera so I will post some pics after my next visit.
