Unlike Classic, if you call in your order ahead of time to LMC, they'll put it in will call. Saves a lot of time at the counter.

Re: 1968 Chevrolet SWB Stepside Restomod

LOL what a day I stopped by to see Vic and his award winning truck deserves every accolade it has recieved it was awesome, and I got to check out his new 67 stepside, then I dropped 2 grand at LMC, mainly because I saw a few shinies that wasnt on my list and I just had to have them.
Stainless Steel brake light assemblies.
Stainless Steel brake light assembly brackets.
Stainless Steel coolant overflow tank.
Polished Aluminum core support filler panel set.
Heavy duty Headlight harness.
LED bulb for the dome light.
Inside door latch controlls (pair).
Billet Dash Bezel.
Those few extra things really ran up the bill in a hurry.
Then I realized I forgot three more things when I got home.
Stainless Steel Door Sill Plates.
Stainless Steel Radiator Cover.
3 point retractable seatbelt kit.
So I will have to pick those up on monday when I'm in KC.

Re: 1968 Chevrolet SWB Stepside Restomod

I picked up a set of remanned calipers today, and I will be heading to KC this afternoon to stop by LMC Truck to return one part and pick up 5 more, while I'm there I will be stopping by Vic's place so he can machine the backup light brackets to a more pleasing shape.

Well, I've got some parts (and pictures) for you... Here's your backup light brackets - before and after profiling. Hope you like them. As soon as I get the final measurements for the controller panel, I can get it rolling too. Meanwhile, try to stay out of the cold!

Re: 1968 Chevrolet SWB Stepside Restomod

So today was fun...When I was removing the old bent up disk brake dust shields about 5 months ago I twisted the head off of one of the 5/16" bolts, so today I bought a reverse out kit and proceded to drill my hole then inserted the bit and twisted the chineese made POS reverse bit right off into my freshly drilled hole, kicked a few rocks and decided the hell with it two out of three bolts is good enough to hold the new dust shield on and reassembled the brakes and put the wheel back on, two and a half hours wasted yay me.

Re: 1968 Chevrolet SWB Stepside Restomod

I twisted one of mine off the other day and got a ease out and it was so tight I was afraid I was going to break it off. So I just kept stepping up in drill size till I was just under the threads size and then used a tap and it worked out me me this way. I know I was pretty lucky though should had went and picked up a lottery ticket that day

Re: 1968 Chevrolet SWB Stepside Restomod

I painted my remanufactured front Calipers Red today and installed them with new Ceramic pads and new brake hoses, so it should be in perfect working order.
It's 74 degrees out and a great day to get some more work done, if I go back out I might tackle the parking brake cable assembly.

Re: 1968 Chevrolet SWB Stepside Restomod

Man am I stoked, I just lined up a mint condition Genuine GM Drivers Door for $150.00 and I'm going to pick it up on Sunday.
I also bought a 1971 genuine GM truck tilt column, and I've ordered the power steering coupler joint for it and it should arrive about the same time.
I also ordered an inner fender dust shield set.
A bit of bad news it turns out the parking brake lever in the drum assembly is cracked where the cable hooks to it so I'm going to have to get it welded up before I can instal the parking brake cables, so off to Vic it goes.
