Re: My 84 C/10 Progress Thread
SulphurDave.... all you need now is some glassed kick panels and maybe a glassed center console from the back of the cab to the bottom of the dash with your shifter coming out of it in the middle. That would set it off. Just my opinion. Your definately way ahead of me. Looks Awesome!!!

Re: My 84 C/10 Progress Thread
Great truck and great story behind it.
I really dig the interior and color scheme What color is the bottom half of the truck? Im thinking of painting my truck a nice metallic grey, but couldnt find the right shade until I saw that. It looks amazing. Thanks, Wes

Re: My 84 C/10 Progress Thread
Front: 15x7 - 3 3/8" BS 185/75R15
Rear: 15x12 - 5" BS 390/45R15 My rear end is more narrow than the 10 bolt which is why the rear tires fit.

Re: My 84 C/10 Progress Thread
I dig it!! Only thing I would do is lower the back one more inch, the fron two or so. Even if you don't, truck still looks sweeeeet!
EDIT: Any better pics of the fuel door and info on it?

Re: My 84 C/10 Progress Thread
The theme of the truck is old school pro street meets a little new school touch. In other words the truck was built the way my Dad would have done it back in the day when he was into hot rods. The wheels/tires are perfect, I don't want it any lower. I could have lived with another inch or so lower if it came out that way but it didn't. The rear tires lifted it up big time and the front tires are small and narrow so they don't fill up the fender gap. Overall I'm very satisfied. No road reflector scraper truck here. Been there done that. I've had 2 bagged trucks in my younger years.

Re: My 84 C/10 Progress Thread
Oh sorry, it's a fuel hatch cover for a boat. You can find at most marine stores. Just twist off the cap and the fuel cell cap is right underneath. I'm gonna seam seal the edge before the spray-in liner. It'll look like it was meant to be there.

Re: My 84 C/10 Progress Thread
That truck is just , what is a better word than allsome? Anyway, it is a sharp turck and I am sure your Dad would be proud. On the spray in bed, I would (My Openion) go with Line-X. It is the best. That is what I am putting in my truck and also Line-X Extra. As I said-MO.

Re: My 84 C/10 Progress Thread
Here's a video of me running through 1st and 2nd gear short shifting at 6k rpm. I didn't want to go any higher until I get a tune and I know for sure it's making power up there. I was on a dirty gritty road so hardly no traction at first but normally those tires hook really good. This would be roughly a 1/8 mile run. I got out of it at the beginning of 3rd gear. Enjoy!
