For yellow you don't have much to work with, but brown or tan would look very cool or black. Here is a tan/brown on yellow Ferrari that looks very cool..

Re: progress pics of 79 pro street
I would go with a tan interior with yellow accents for popMaybe do the seat inserts and steering wheel in yellow. All yellow hurts the eyes and obscures details. just my .02

Re: progress pics of 79 pro street
I don't think that tan would look good considering that the outside is black but...I'm not chip foose either. My only thought is to paint the interior yellow then use black leather for the door panels and other pieces. Maybe even use some yellow ultra suede as accents with the black leather. My 2 cents.

Thanks for the input. I thought about yellow and black today as well. My thought was dying all the interior pieces black ex.(door panels, headliner trim and dash) and then painting the doors, door jams, dash bottom, back of tail gate and back side panels gloss yellow. Maybe even do a yellow colored spray in bed liner type material on the floor and side panels. Just an idea. Last edited by Chevyrod; 11-19-2008 at 06:58 PM. |

Re: progress pics of 79 pro street
My vote, tone the interior down!!!! You have the pop on the outside, understate the inside. I think you will get tired of the double yellow, and not even know why it is happening. Cool tan, earthtone colors on the inside. Trust me.
Chip Foose.............. Ok not really, but it did sound like I know what I am talking about. |

Re: progress pics of 79 pro street
Very light tans could work also. Get someone to photoshop the yellow in, but it would definitely pop with it.

Re: progress pics of 79 pro street
Not really any updates that are worth posting. I have been smoothing out the textured finish on the dash, door panels and head liner trim. Should have them ready to paint or dye this weekend still not sure on what color to go with. I will try to post some updates soon.

Re: progress pics of 79 pro street
Little more progress. I got the top and side glass installed with new rubbers from soft seal. Still need to finish the interior but she is starting to look like a blazer again
