Re: I finally found my 67 SWB!!!

Wow! Almost forgot about this one. Well I did lower it (5/7 static drop with a c-notch). Put the wheels on and couldn't be happier. Next I'm putting a set of buddy seats in and changing the interior color to black.

Put new wheels on the 55 Bel Air (18/20 Billet Specialties).Found them on ebay and couldn't pass them up. I will go bigger (20/22) later when I decide to tear into it!

Well if you guy didn't like what I did to the white 67, then you'll hate what I'm going to do to the 72 Super Cheyenne SWB 4x4 I purchased last year.

Sweet put the intros back on the white truck and drive the hell out of it. Now I have an idea of how my Vista 5's will look on my truck. What do you do for a living. Do you want to adopt a 27 year old lol

Actually....the man has his priorities in order. He has a pic of the truck in front of his house with a forclosure sign in the yard. Keep the properties with four wheels. They are easier to hide.

It's just a joke. There is some bad stuff going on where I live. Guys are losing their homes and hiding there boats, quads...etc.

Sweet truck and beautiful 55.

That was the house next to me (It sold in 1 week)! It's no joke living in SoCal (I pay more in property taxes than some people pay in house payments).

As for how my wife lets me get away with it, well I've always made family my priority. Then she can't say anything about me putting money or time into my toys. Plus whenever she tries I go out and buy another Chevy

I could of finished my N2Deep project 10 times over if I would have stayed at my old house and not moved to an area with better schools etc...and not put my family first. If anything that is what I've learned- take care of your family and everything else will fall into its place.

BTW-I work as a splicer for at&t (lots of overtime)

right now put a nice clean unaltered 1972 short fleet super with buddy bucket's and tach with all the trim BONE STOCK up against all the lowered truck's in the world and it will sell faster and for more money ,
for a custom to bring any money it has to be FRIKIN AWESOME ! and it won't sell for the cost of the part's it took to build it ,

one of the moderator's on the Barrett Jackson auction was watching a modified vehicle cross the block and he said (QUOTE)

SOMEONE SURE SPENT A LOT OF MONEY TO DEVALUE THAT VEHICLE !
Mainly it comes down to "To each their own...."

I've seen several modified trucks sell quicker than a stock truck, and it mainly comes down to who has the money. Lowering has been around for several decades, so I doubt this "fad" will entirely disappear. As far as big wheels, sure wheel designs have come and gone, but that is what is so great about this hobby; someone is always coming out with something new and fun, just trying to catch someone's eye.

Now... are all vehicles modified tastefully.... Heck No! But there again, to each their own. I can appreciate a 100% original truck and one with lambo doors painted lime green with metal flake the size of a potato...

To Raguemoe... sick '67!

vegaschevy... here's Raguemoe's specs on his suspension and wheel/tire combo: (pulled from this thread)

Not too bad (I think the main diff would be in ground clearance, not the ride). With the 20/22 setup I think the 5/7 drop is perfect, however when I put the 15" rallys on it is too low for me for a daily (full length headers etc....).

Re: I finally found my 67 SWB!!!

Popped in to the forum and see my old thread...it's been over 7yrs! Well as with most of us life has changed a little in the last decade. My wife went back to school 3yrs ago & I have two kids in college...so I sold all my toys including the white truck

You ever have that feeling in your gut after you sold your all time favorite car/truck and find yourself regretting it everytime you think about it. Well, that's how I felt about the white truck. Out of all the cars/trucks I've had it was my favorite.

Anyways, I told the guy that I sold it to "call me if you ever want to sell it". Well he called me a month ago & said he needed to sell. So I was able to get it back & it's back in my garage (permanently this time). My wife graduates in 2 months (Nursing school) & owes me big time. So I'm planning on blowing it apart next year & redoing it completely. Who knows it may get a Delmo (mild drop) treatment
