Re: Finally!!! 6.0 POWAH!!!!

the vet and gto 6.0 are going to run 5k and up depending on milage and parts included on the swap.

ls1 out of the camero can be had for around 3500 maybe less

These are not the end all prices just some that ive seen while sourcing an LSx

PCMCOBRA; can those headers be purchased or are those one off pieces?

Don't hate!
As soon as I get the exhaust done(Tuesday) and finally get it back to my house, I'll start on the little things like intake and a few wiring details.

Re: Finally!!! 6.0 POWAH!!!!

COOL man !!!!! Glad to see it alive..

Do you know if S&P have dynoed that header setup ?? Im curious to see how they flow compared to a truck manifold or F-body style.....

I love the look alone, Im sure the upper RPM will benefit

Im still tinkering around with my truck(tinted windows, all new rubber)

I need to find a car or another truck so I can park my beast....

Good job again !!!

Bobby

Re: Finally!!! 6.0 POWAH!!!!

Well,
after too many weeks, phone calls, emails and messages and the runaround by the local tuner. I went ahead and purchased a tune from a company out of WA. state somewhere. Found him on another site as a sponsor. You can either do it with software/cable setup he has, or he also has another option of (what I did) giving him your specs, he writes a tune for you, sends you a handhelp(pda) with a cable and your custom tune, hook it up to your port and load it. Tune can be adjusted, and if it needs changing, he can email you the new tune, and do same as above. The handheld is just a loaner w/ a deposit, but you can hang on to it for a little while, and even log with it.
Should be here by Wednesday, so hopefully I can drive it this week.

Holy crap that looks and sounds awesome. Even with the exhaust finished I'm not sure what kind of "sleeper" it'll be, though. Maybe a set of hushpower's?

Re: Finally!!! 6.0 POWAH!!!!

Man that is frustrating. I went through that same circle jerk on my 8.1L with trying to find the correct calibration or tuner while my truck sat for 6 weeks. I end up purchasing software to calibrate the controller myself. It is not 100% perfect but it runs better than any carbureted engine I have ever had. My controller is a Delphi marine MEFI-4b piece so that is a little easier to calibrate yourself with inexpensive software than the production vehicle PCM-32 that you are using. If you were using a MEFI-4b controller and tuning software I have a couple LQ9 6.0L calibration files I could have emailed you.

Good luck man and be patient as it will be worth the wait.

Re: Finally!!! 6.0 POWAH!!!!

I'm running stock 06 pcm.
After troubleshooting, and replacing injectors/rails/coils...still popping. After work I drove down to tuner shop and instead of waiting on him, I told him I would tow it in, he marked me down for thursday, wife is gonna kill me, but she will just have to deal with it.
Hopefully it will be squared away so I can cruise it this weekend.
