Re: My 1972 chevy c10 father/son build
Well here's some updates
Painted my dash red thought it might give it a little bit more of a hotrod look(dont have any pics though) And today I took my truck up to vo tech. So now im gonna start getting some progress done. Im finishing my bed and cab up there. Cant really tell anything in the pic but there was a pretty bad dent right here, then I started sanding and a bunch of bondo showed up. Here's some pics. I'll keep you posted on what I get done there |

Re: My 1972 chevy c10 father/son build
Thanks man
Well got quite a bit done(in my kind of progress lol prob not much to you) in Vo-Tech today. Well the body line was dented in so I had to rework it and pull it out and this is my first year in Vo-Tech and I think it turned pretty good, but I still have alot more work to do to it. And im still Working on the dent and all the low spots on the top. The bedside was worse than what I though when I first brought it in. Seems like everytime I start sanding i find a huge pile of bondo under it. So it is taking me longer than I planned because I have to redo everything the P.O. did because I have to weld up all the holes he left from a dent puller But heres some pics sorry their off my phone I have to sneak these pictures because phones arent allowed |

Re: My 1972 chevy c10 father/son build
Before I started this spot It didnt feel to bad until I started sanding then piles of bondo showed up and then at the bottom of the pile I found quite a few holes that werent welded up. I know its hard to tell anything with these pictures.
Still have quite a few highs and lows. |

Re: My 1972 chevy c10 father/son build
Here is my progress from the past few days
Welded up some holes Pulled out a dent going across the bottom of the bed and the top Still has some highs and lows Started sanding on the wheel and arch and found something that wasn't pretty. The little line going across the bottom of the arch is all smashed and I pulled it the best I could, so im going to have to make look the best I can hopefully it doesn't turn out to bad. Before After. I tried my best at pulling it out so hopefully the bondo will make it look a little better. And finally started putting some plastic on it We are having EOI test next week at school so I will only be at Vo Tech for two days so I wont have much progress next week. Re: My 1972 chevy c10 father/son build
No pics but I got the body line on the back of the bed done just a few skim coats and it should done and I put metal repair in the rust hole and put some plastic over it.
I didnt get as much work done on it as I was planning, Next week is my last week in there. But I am coming back next year and will have all year to work on it, Im planning on getting it painted next year. And this summer im going to try to get all my suspension and motor work done. Not sure if im going to bag it or if I should get a 4/6 static drop. And on the motor im not to sure either, thinking about getting a vortec or stay old school and maybe build up a 383 or a built 350 |
