Yes just the support "rib" not the floor.

Huh this is kind of a bummer to find out. I am not completely in love with cutting anything off my truck that has survived 24 yrs with out a spec of rust.

I lowered mine by cuting one round off of the front springs.
For the back I took the leaf apart.
Started with main leaf added longest leaf below, put overload leaf on top and bolted back together.
The end result was 2.5 front. 3 rear.
Cost. $0.00
Rides good, only draw back is redused weight carrying due to the nature of leaf springs.

After doing a flip in the rear, wouldn't removing leafs be effectively raising the rear back up?

I am running a McGaughy's 4.5/6 kit on my truck and was wondering if any of you guys ran into a problem with running the factory brake lines,and them hitting the spindle and not being able to run them how they were on the factory spindle. Did any of you have to do any grinding or use steel braided lines or.......

It's common practice to 'tweak' the brake line slightly so it doesn't rub. A little prying where the hard line attaches @ the caliper usually does the trick.

chopped 1 1/2 coil off and did a flip kit. it was sitting pretty high and raked before i lowered it. it has a sway bar and new tires now
