Wade, Your truck looks top notch I used Fatman on my 1960 Impala it works just fine. I also used it on my 65 Gran Sport with the same results. You really are going to be a TOTM nominee in no time. Keep up the good work. The thing I hate most about doing a garage restoration are the unexpected trips to the hardware store and auto parts store, and just when you think you bought every thing you need hot damn an other trip to the store!!! The lunch trips I never complain about.

I know it is a little late now, but I have a suggestion for you. Instead of carpeting the rear cab panel, carpet a thin piece of plywood (or similar material), and run it speaker bracket to speaker bracket, and all the way to the bottom of the "bump" below the back window. You could also cut the wood so it runs above the speaker brackets following the curve of the cab corner on each side of the cab. This would give you a nice smooth finished look, and cover up the mounting tabs on the brackets.

This is how I am doing mine, and I think it will look real nice.

Regardless, yours still looks nice as is.

Interior is looking amazing man. I'll look forward to hearing what you have to say about the fat mat. I would rather hear it from someone I know, and is using it in the same type of vehicle, for the same purpose that I will. That will give me a real good assessment.

Thanks guys. Started the morning off with another trip. This time to Tractor Supply (love that store!).

I appreciate the advice....reminds me to not cut any corners!

Mounted the Painless wiring main module this morning. That was the easy part. Wanted to get it in, to run the wiring for the dome light and dimmer switch, along with power window stuff, before we lay the carpet in.

Had to order a replacement circuit for the tach gauge set I plan to use. Hopefully be here this week and can get those in.

On hold again, for at least another week or two.

Had to take some time out to add some new features to my software products, hadn't updated them in a while. Should keep the customers happy for another six months or so, so I can get back to working on the truck.

Come to Oklahoma! It's was nice last week. Suppose to rain all this week so that is good. This time of year we are usually in the 100's with around 90%+ humidity.

I'll pass on that humidity, thanks! Spent almost three years at Fort Sill. The humidity there was brutal.

You wouldn't want that job, trust me! 99% of my customers are easy going, use the software, and earn some income. Then there is that 1%. Man oh man, that 1% (large by volume) could test the patience of The Almighty Himself. Dr. Phil would have a field day with that 1%.

Very nice build... you seem to be very miticulas (sp?) at you work on this.. always believe if your going to do it... do it right the first time...

My customers feel the need to do it wrong and then I do it right for them... thats my 99.9% of my job...

Man, I know what you mean. While trying to rebuild the front end on my truck and installing the lowering kit I think I spent more time at the stores/shops then I have working on the truck it's self.

Super clean looking by the way. Mine isn't going to be a that nice. Just a get up and go build. But I will be putting in a system soon. Got to be able to hear the radio over the pipes!
