Re: 68 Quad Cab build
this part takes a while due to the amount of welding and the time it takes to avoid warping but here are some more progress pics sure is taking shape now i have some areas to work along the top still before i start welding in the roof out of the yukon but i have to get the side structure sound first soon i will be moving to the other side this side is comeing along you will notice that i started placing the rod for the drip rail in and working it down the side as i shape it it will blend in to the body lines..... i also will be rounding the top front corner of the front doors so it rolls with the rest of the truck not a lot just enough to relieve the sharp corner you can see that i started to do this but it still needs a little more work its just not what i want yet.... comments are great and i hope you are enjoying my build

Re: 68 Quad Cab build
Looking good. You're putting more work into this side of the cab than I'm doing to my whole truck. Just curious, is this for a customer or for your own use?

Re: 68 Quad Cab build
yeah it has some nice wide low profile ribs that will give it the lower look and break up the flat surface of the top so its not so long and flat looking just a little eye candy i guess plus i am using all the intereior etc... from the yukon cause it is a nice style and looks good except for the dash i will be doing a custom dash and console

Re: 68 Quad Cab build
what type of bed are you going to use a lwb or a swb ,fleet or stepper you will be happy that you didnt make the rear doors smaller like a suburban becauce the back will now have the same room as the front

Re: 68 Quad Cab build
well my dad said that when you do a crew cab that you need a bed that is the same length as the cab maybe you should make your own mwb bed measure your cab and cut a lwb fleet to the same size as the caqb that way it is evenly proportioned you have the fab skills for it oh well thats just my two cents wati tell you put seats in the frot and back and look at all your hard work
