Re: Your favorite thing about a 60-66?

When I was seven & eight we used to ride our bikes to the Chevy dealer and look at the new car and truck line-up, we weren't allowed in the showroom without parents so we always checked out the trucks. The 64 and 65 were those trucks.

I get to drive my 66 to work everyday! Don't know why but since I got my first one in 1975 I have almost always had at least one.

Re: Your favorite thing about a 60-66?

I love my 63 because my dad and I have been able to work on it together and make some good memories on the way to shows and swap meets. I also love the knee knocker cab. Only took me a few times getting in to realize why they called it that

Re: Your favorite thing about a 60-66?

Probably the GMC grille especially the 66 with the squared off letters. I turned 16 in 1963 these trucks were a big part of my youth. I remember the music of the 292 and sm420. I spent years looking for a 66 long wide with a big back window. I finally found one, its a 65 so close enough it will take some doing, because, it has had some modifications I have to undo. I remember when the 67s came out was that ever a disappointment.
