what did i say, you have to lay a gasket down and make sure the secondaries will clear, some time witha flap wheel and a die grinder will make it work it doesnt.

i dont think your gonna take enough out of that intake to make it clear
plus i wouldnt grind on an intake just to make the throttle plates clear

Well got the truck in the shop today to start working on it:

I was on CL and saw this http://lawrence.craigslist.org/pts/1492429879.html Get a grand together and get this I bet you could get it for $900 remember use your age as an advantage . I always pull the "Come on cut a young hotrodder a deal" card when buying stuff at swapmeets.

Got some more done. Painted the hood hinges. Took forever to get all the grease off...

Update.

Got some work done on one of the fenders.

Lol So I was bored and decided to work on my new battery box. Heres the battery box that was on it lol and the bungee cords bailing twine and zipties were part of it.


Heres the box I made. I think it looks pretty good. The welds arent the prettiest but I never claimed to be a pro. lol

Yeah thats the intake. Hopefully it will have a Holley carb sitting on it before to long :P

Thanks for the comploments.
Heres some pictures. I just went and took them so sorry About the quality.

I used the original bracket from the battery box that mounted to the front and welded it to the box in a few places.


Heres were I added a lil bracket to bolt it to the tire well. I just drilled a hole and used a small bolt.


Heres how it sits. It is suprisingly really sturdy. I like it. Ill paint it when I pull the fender and the wheel well to paint.

just dont mix the 2 up and cross them over. That's a good way to fry some stuff!

The clips they connect to the terminals are red/black. So I can tell witch is witch.
