Re: my 50 build... why not?

Thanks! And no problem, we sprayed House of colors "marbelizer" (basically a super thin clear metallic) fairly wet, then immediately laid plastic on the silver, made sure it was touching everywhere. Then pulled it off to get the effect. Every time you do it you will get a different result. Kinda neat and as many coats of candy we put over top of the marbelizer, it looks like its black until you really look at it.

Re: my 50 build... why not?

Thanks guys. I just picked up a few motor parts so I should be seeing those in the mail soon. I need to make a bunch of shelves in my carport so I can get all my parts and crap off the ground. Then I will be fitting a 53 Chevy 4 door in there

Re: my 50 build... why not?

Haha hell, wish. Things are getting pretty busy here.

Just ordered my new air compressor,

Got the pickup all torn apart to finish the frame for powdercoating.

And rear fenders are painted. I'll have more pictures tomorrow for the wet sand/buff.

Wow, I hurt just thinking about how much blocking it took to get those fenders smooth that flat. Top shelf!

That plum color always makes me think of merc sleds! My votes for a white interior!

Re: my 50 build... why not?

Thanks

Does anyone have any spare running board braces laying around? I'm missing my rear passenger brace, then remembered tonight that i was an idiot and torched it off so i threw it away when i tore into this last year. I'm not for certain if the 1/2 ton is different from the 3/4 ton, but it measures at exactly 18 inches. Lemme know what you guys have!

Frame came back yesterday from coating. Looks pretty good!

Rear end is fully welded up and ready for blasting and coating along with all the rest of the suspension stuff.
