Michael, the truck is looking good. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not let that guy help wire anything for you. That is a fire waiting to happen. That thing scared me.

Re: BigRed 81 crewcab dually
I put the window rubber on glass then rap small gauge rope in the channel over lapping the rope afew inch's at bottom then tape the rope to glass (inside truck side) spray little wd-40 or soap water like if you were doing window tint. one person on outside of glass in the bed of truck holding glass against window opening .one person inside of truck with a small skrew driver (not the drink)to aid in the install the one inside starts pulling slowly one part of the rope at a time a cuple of inch's then stops then go's to the other peice of rope pulls it alittle at the same time the person outside truck pushes that part of window to help set it.keep going back and forth on each rope

Re: BigRed 81 crewcab dually
I found out the hard way that the glass goes into the rubber then after a 6pack of budlight and a bunch of lube I finally got it in the hole. Yes my wheels are aluminum and the spare is for the front, so that's 7wheels total.

Re: BigRed 81 crewcab dually
Pureluck do you know what brand rims we've got? How did you paint the inside of each hole red? And what brand tires are you running? I know they are 225/60r16s and yours is a 6/8 drop. Its looks good!

how I painted them was masked both sides of the wheel completely then used hobby razor knife and cut out holes then sanded inside of holes with 220grit paper. I used high temp paint from oreillys. front tires are bridgestone potenza go19 grid because of stiff side wall the back are fuzion hri's. The front tires have 50psi the back have 40psi |

Re: BigRed 81 crewcab dually
gerald one step at a time, eventually it will be alot closer to the ground.
My wiring is still the 74 setup. So swapping a new harness in will be a major improvement. LMC is having saturday seminars in there parking lot and this weeks was a duplicolor demonstration. So here are my newly revamped sun visors. The interior trim and door panels will be next. Last edited by BGRAFX; 05-23-2010 at 03:06 PM. |

Re: BigRed 81 crewcab dually
here is my fuse box. none of my little gauges work on the dash. As you can see the key is Not in the ignition and my rpm's and mph are already up.

Re: BigRed 81 crewcab dually
Talk to Joe231. He messed with a few of the gauge clusters when he was working on the one for his 80.
