My 54 GMC Build

Working on the hood today. Dropped off the seat at the upholsterer. Not a stock seat its out of an 80 Chevy 4 door somebody gave me. I like the seat because it sits lower then stock by 2 inches, it fits inside the cab on top of the pedestal, flips forward for access behind the seat, and the top of the seat is below the corner windows. I will post pics when it comes back

Maybe one more coat of high build and this fender will be ready for paint. I ordered a new grill from truck and car in orange so about the time the grill shows up the fender will be installed. Probably another week after that I will have the lights and directionals in and working. Maybe wishful thinking. I am trying to be done by June 1st this year. That will be three years I have been working on it. That will be so cool to drive this thing. As you can see in the pic I have a lot of years of projects to go.

Tool box area with removable section so if I need to remove the fuel pump it doesn't require dropping the tank

I have been trying to figure out what I wanted for the gas filler. I am trying for an original look but there are things in this truck I wanted. I really didn't want to hide the gas filler because then it's a hassle to put gas in it. After all this is going to be a daily driver.

Gas door is a little closer then I wanted it but I wanted a straight shot into the tank
