Re: Project Murphy's Law

Ya, I like the SS wheels too, but the only way to get em in a 5x5 is $! When I asked to have that photoshop done 7 years ago I thought the only way to get close to that look was by using Buick Riviera rallies.

Re: Project Murphy's Law

Back from the dead! Sorry for the delay NTR. It's been sitting painted in my garage for the last 2 months, no desire to put it back together. Just finished my BSN and school wiped out the desire to do anything but hang with my family for a while. Will get at it in the next month or so then most likely sell it as it's back to school for 3 more years. Paint color is awesome in the sunshine. I'll wash it and wax it and post a better pics, crappy cell phone pics right now that don't do the color justice.

Re: Project Murphy's Law

Jaros, Ya it's hidden in the truck section because they didn't have a blazer build section when I joined. Kinda like here anyway. When I get going on this I'll post up some pics of the bulk head for you, it was pretty simple.

Re: Project Murphy's Law

I'm back at it. Got the itch last weekend. No pics at this time, but pulling and painting the engine this weekend, will get to the frame rails and suspension for a good cleaning and painting in the next week. Then some porterbuilt hood hinges and reassembly of everything. At this point only missing all new glass and side trim. Almost there..............

Re: Project Murphy's Law

Still at when I can..... When it was painted the paint on the dash and firewall lifted, so dash got repainted and firewalls has primer and gets repainted as soon as I install the PB hood hinges in the next week or so. Engine has been painted and new gaskets installed. Yesterday I sanded the entire underside of the tub and wiped it down so I can apply some Raptor liner. Mocked up the interior today, waiting on the seat belts and all new green AC glass with the chrome vent windows. Hope to blast the frame on Monday or Tuesday.

Re: Project Murphy's Law

So where to begin? Got the tub off the frame right before new years. Life happens so I continued to squirrel away parts. End of February got the urge to get back at it. Frame and front suspension blasted, hit everything with a etching primer and Eastwood chassis black. Bought a C-notch kit to install when I blasted the frame, but couldn't bring myself to do it. Sanded the entire underside of the tub, degreased it, applied etching primer and Raptor Liner, back on the frame. Now everything else seems easy........ Although the exhaust had few miles on it I blasted the entire thing and painted it with POR 20 high temp paint. Installed new seals and drilled / slotted rotors for the 9" diff to match the front. Today I put new seals in the transmission and installed the front suspension and disc rotors on the front. New door glass is installed, ordered a new windshield, scheduled to put it in next Thursday. Might be able to drop the motor and trans in tomorrow, that would kick ass. Thinking about new wheels, maybe 20/22 combo. Coys is right up I-15 a few hours
Jaros I'll get you bulkhead pics first of next week! Now for the gratuitous crappy cell phone pics:

I think you are going to wish you had.
That was the single best thing I did to improve the ride of my 2wd blazer.
Especially with people riding in the back seat.

Pics look great!

Re: Project Murphy's Law

Still rockin it every day. Got the hood hinges and hood on, ran the new wiring harnesses to the engine and core support and got the EFI harness feed through the fire wall. Windshield installed. Need to to get going on the brake booster/ master next. Painted up the gas tank and straps, now thinking about the taillight filler mod. Scored a double wall top in good shape from a friend for a rifle so I'll have to get it cleaned up soon. May just stash it in the ceiling.

Thanks! Still getting at all the little stuff like wiring, ordering final parts ect...... Had hoped to score some big chrome with a set of Coys c57's. Called to order them and was told they wouldn't have the sizes / finish for 3 months. Pulled the trigger on these this afternoon (Pic borrowed from ultraHD4me) Hopefully they look as sweet on my ride as they do his. Hat tip to Keith (lowlife99) for the awesome thread on calculating wheel fitment http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=530806
