Re: 71' C10 Cheyenne Super Build
I've broken both of my feet in the recent years, which is why I keep a wheel chair around- so I can still work on my truck! Great build, hope you're doing well and heal fast.

Re: 71' C10 Cheyenne Super Build
I'm back up on the foot without crutches and I've been doing a little body work on the cab. Nothing too exciting but here is a picture of my fuel filler patch and filler work:

Re: 71' C10 Cheyenne Super Build
Put the cab back on the frame and tested out the new seat.
Also spent a few hours stripping one side of the bed. Unfortunately the previous owner did a bad repair job on the bed. I dont think they make a patch panel for this section so I may try to massage it out Posted via Mobile Device Posted via Mobile Device

Re: 71' C10 Cheyenne Super Build
Spent a lot of time this weekend prepping the interior and firewall of the cab to spray some color. Threw an extra coat of epoxy and high build primer on there before we seal and do spray the color.
I also tore down my steering column for a rebuild and got it primed. I ordered some parts to rebuild the column from Wes at Classic Heartbeat that should hopefully be here soon.

Mounted the cab on the frame today and bolted the fenders up. Also refinished and mounted the brake booster.

Re: 71' C10 Cheyenne Super Build
Restored my dash cluster. Took it all apart, polished the lens, painted the gauge needles, replaced all the bulbs and got a new bezel.

Re: 71' C10 Cheyenne Super Build
Big update! Got the truck mostly wired (although a lot of cleanup is needed) and I was able to start it up for the first time. EZ EFI did its thing surprisingly well and she settled right on a nice idle after about 20 seconds of learning. Should run even better the more I drive it.
As you can see in the video I also picked up a wood bed so that will probably be my next project to tackle. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=4E8x8zEH9kY

Re: 71' C10 Cheyenne Super Build
Sounding great! Was the autowire classic a big headache? I think I can salvage my harness, but it would be nice to update it all before it starts going back together.

Re: 71' C10 Cheyenne Super Build
Thanks! The AAW harness was actually very easy to follow. I can't imagine a complete rewire of the truck going any smoother. They have very good instructions and everything is labeled so it makes it pretty easy. They also use all of the factory connectors and wire colors so you don't have to splice anything. Took me about two days of work to wire the truck.
