Re: 67 Shortwide Resto
Shot the High Build yesterday. I used UPOL for the first time and really like the way it went on and look forward to wet sanding it starting with 220 and ending with 400. I think I am going to use the same product for my Sealer Coat. Its a lot cheaper than the PPG and as far as I can see it goes on about the same. Here are some pictures of it after we shot the Primer.

Re: 67 Shortwide Resto
Thanks for the Compliment. Im really looking forward to sanding it and see how it feels at 400. When I shoot the color I am going to shoot a tinted blue sealer then the color on top of that. Right now I am having second thoughts about the color I want to do. The primary color I am thinking about shooting is Interlagos Blue Metalic and Silver below the molding or Black Cherry and Gun Metal Grey on the bottom below the molding. Not sure yet but I guess what ever it is when I am done is what its going to be. Sorry for the Run On, just thinking out loud.

Re: 67 Shortwide Resto
hey we like to hear your thoughts here! IN MY opinion i think our 67s look best with just the top a different color and below the trim the same color as the truck.... 68s look cool with white and other colors below the trim but 67s look best all one color until the top just my 2 pennies

Re: 67 Shortwide Resto
Been taking my time with the sanding on the high build. I really want to make this thing flat. I have finished the hood and started working on the bed today. I hope to get the sanding done maybe next week and possibly shoot the Sealer on the weekend after next. Here are a few pics of the progress I have made.

Re: 67 Shortwide Resto
I took a damp towel and wiped it down and if found a coouple of small dips in it about the size of a dime. Today when I go back out there I am going to wet it again and mark the areas then hit it with some glazing compound. Being that this truck is either going to be Dark Blue Or Black Cherry I really need to find all the little imperfections before I start shooting the color.

Re: 67 Shortwide Resto
Looks like I am going to have to kick this Resto in High Gear. I found out that in a month I am going to have surgery on my lefts sholder due to a ligament tear, a muscle tear and a severe cartalige tear. This all means that I am going to be down for the optimum time to paint and do my bodywork. Besides its kind of hard to run a buffer with one arm.

Re: 67 Shortwide Resto
Woot he is back... boo he went off and injured himself... see what you get for challenging the Shoalin Monks to a Kung fu bout when in China. Guess you wont do that again. Glad to hear everything is alright and that the injury is something that can be healed from. The wife just had ankle surgery in April and she is finally walking around again herself. Well good luck with the surgery, and you better get busting on that truck before then or I will have to continue to nag for updates
