Re: Project "Never Again" will I rebuild a perfectly good truck

I have not completely decided on the dash but I am leaning towards keeping stock configuration now that the New carbon fibre Dakota Digital gauges are out.

Above is also the install of the cam, springs and seal pics.

Also picked up a original owner parts truck that has some goodies with it. The stepside fenders were removed at 10000 km's and hung in a barn.

Re: Project "Never Again" will I rebuild a perfectly good truck

Ya I picked it up for a $100.00 but he wants the frame back for a hay wagon....lol

Now I don't know which box to go with. I finally had decided to go with a fleet but now I have a set of really nice steps.....

Gotta say- your attention to detail and parts selection is abso-freakin-lutely amazing. The rear meats are just disgustingly kick-a$$! Love everything you've done so far.

BTW- If you aren't going to use the side trim on your parts truck, let me know- I'd be interested in "acquiring" them.

Ya you are telling me, I find myself collecting more parts than actually working on the project.

I also have a 66 frame that is powder coated with new bushings and front end components which was intended to be converted over for a parts truck to fund my parts.

It seems it may turn into project #2. I didn't want to go there as it takes money away from the main build but these C10's are an addiction....lol

Thanks Dingfodgy, I will keep you in mind on the trim.

Looks like this will be the new front pulley set I have decided to run. What do you guy's think?

Ya I agree, the air cleaner is not working for me either.

I will be running the stock LS2 EFI corvette style intake with stainless tube to free flowing air cleaner providing I can. It was suggested to me that I might have to run a the fast intake with that pulley system, hope not.

Re: Project "Never Again" will I rebuild a perfectly good truck

Well, still looking for the rest of the info. but it turns out I cannot use the Pro Track pulley kit with the factory Electronic TB. It took me 3 months to decide on a system. Arrggg!

Still waiting to see if a fast intake will work.

That picture above is from the March performance sight. I was just indicating the front pulley kit I was hoping to use. If anyone has information on fitment with stock TB please chime in.

Re: Project "Never Again" will I rebuild a perfectly good truck

How have I missed this build until now! I do like the pulley set up but with as much show quality items that are going into this build would it look better in polished over brushed?

Re: Project "Never Again" will I rebuild a perfectly good truck

I was looking at polished and black but they do not do that for the Pro Track. If I cannot run the Pro track with my set up I may go to the full polished Style Track system because it doesn't look as good in Black oynx / alum. mix.

Re: Project "Never Again" will I rebuild a perfectly good truck

Not much to update Bennett, I am now back on my feet again from on going medical issues the last couple of years but I am determined to finish this dam truck if it is the last thing I do.......lol

Not decided on the bed yet as it seems so far away. I did work out all the confusion on the March Pro Track black oynx pulley kit and now have it in the parts pile.

Next thing I need to determine is if I can run the No Limit R & P with my Porterbuilt arms & swaybar. I am to far along to go to an aftermarket crossmember but would love to upgrade to R & P.

Re: Project "Never Again" will I rebuild a perfectly good truck

Just ordered No Limits Rack and Pinion and a longer set of links for my Porterbuilt swaybar.

A big thanks to Rob, Nate & Dave for helping me determine fitment.
