Well Mike I consider myself a decent trainer and an excellent decoy and I still have not master the art of training kids. My kids do not listen to me at all. Dogs are just fair and kids are not.lol Maybe thats why I like training dogs because they listen to me.lol

Damn man, thats rough. My daughter just turned 13 and starting to like boys so I have the dog ready for any young punks that are interested. If they are anything like I was at 14-24 the dog will be on code red alert.lol

Re: What a mess just look at this.

Start answering the door in your underwear, black socks with dress shoes, tank top, with a beer in your hand and curse a lot when the boys come over and see it that stops them.lol A dog would be icing on the cake.

So underwear, black socks with dress shoes, tank top, beer in hand, and holding a pitbull on a leash. Your first words should be " and what the **** do you want".LoL
Nothing will make a person treat your daughter right like daddy being seen as nuts.lol I'm working on being nuttier as we speak.

Man, Porter's video didn't go so well with the family. I had my wife & son sit down to watch it. I had full intentions of stopping it before the credits at the end. I got up to answer the phone and when I came back in they were both in tears. I'm telling you man, I got the best luck.

Man that's so sweet that they cared enough to shed a tear for such beautiful animal. Just let them know that he was a great dog who spent his whole life doing what he was bred and loved to do. He was blessed with a wonderful owner/handler in Lamont, decoys and trainers who adored him. What more can a working dog ask for? Its better than being stuck in a backyard and chasing your tail for 15 years. I believe Porter was 8 years old when he passed and he had a great life so there's no need to be sad I just miss working and watching that dog work he was the best. We use to catch ourselves at training saying things like "Porter could do that no problem".lol Hes been gone for a while now but he will not be forgotten that's for sure. He is the most decorated dog in our sport. I'm proud to have played a part in that because it takes a lot to train a dog to that level. It takes a team we call it the triangle. Handler and dog/ decoy/ trainer.

Yeah you should not have let them see those credits you know how women and kids are about dogs. Well not just kids Chevyrestroguy said "I have to admit I got teary eyed at the end of that video". I love dogs".lol
But a tribute is suppose to do that to people right? Well I hope they enjoyed it up to that point.

Re: What a mess just look at this.

Well back to trucks. I just got off the phone with the buddy I did this clip for and he told me he already painted it.lol I told him I have some more work to do and he said he couldn't wait to paint. I guess having it fixed just motivated him.lol I'm going over there on Sat and he will end up painting it again because I want to do something about that radiator support I just don't like it but he does care.lol

Re: What a mess just look at this.

On post 92 that tribute to porter was gr8 and yes I learned the hardway like your video showed when dogs are in attack mode a water hose has no effect. My dogs got into and the water did nothing, I got bit pulling them apart, next time welding gloves, lol.

Cool on using the original radiator support. I have working on doing that this last weekend, makes getting the bumper right easier.

Re: What a mess just look at this.

I went over my buddy's house to help him install the front sheetmetal and everything looks great. There is no engine and trans so the front will be much lower when its installed but the wheels look nice and centered in the wheel well.

Re: What a mess just look at this.

You nailed the wheelbase!! Nice job!

That thing was so messed up when you got it. What did you use as a basis for establishing the wheelbase? There's a bunch of tricks you can do, but alot of them depends on having a good measurement to start from.

Like we say in aerospace, measure 3 times, say a prayer, then fire up the cutoff wheel and make sparks .

Thanks man

Before I cut the clip off I put the sheetmetal back on and discovered the wheelbase was different on each side. I liked how the wheels looked on the passenger side so I used that side for my measurements.

I tacked it in I put the sheetmetal back on to make sure I still liked how the wheels looked in the wheel well. After that I welded it back together.

I still think the owner should have made the guy that butchered the frame, come over to take a look-see on how a properly installed clip looks.
