Re: New Crew Cab Project Truck....
I'm actually not trying to be funny. My buddy works at Auto Tops and Interiors here in Raleigh NC. It seemed like you were having some quality issues, etc so I was just trying to help.

Taylor its a small world lol....you wired the money to his bank acct then before the truck was picked up you tried to back out of the deal lol..just remember there's two sides to the story .and Tom Tom was told by you if he didnt send money back you were going to trash him in the forums..you are true to you're work .......... My only question is you trash the ls install and the wiring why would you not build one from the ground up then theyre wouldnt be any issues ??? THX |

Re: New Crew Cab Project Truck....
Huh?
Im confused to what your asking? Why didnt i build a completely new truck and install an LS motor into it, instead of buying what i thought to be was a solid install of an LS motor in a C-10 truck? Are you asking why i dont have the power to read minds? or see into the future? If i would have known the condition of the install before i bought it, i probably would have gone that route, but from everything he had told me, it seemed to be solid. But, there was a lot left un-desireable about the install. Hell, i didnt even post all of the good stuff, because its somewhat embarasing really. All you can do is fix it and move on. I confused by what your refering to with backing out of a deal? im not sure what you mean really. The only thing i asked from tom, the origional seller, was for a title to the truck. I didnt think that was too much to ask really. Shoot me over your email address, i will forward all the email conversations we had about the title, im sure you will get a kick out of it, espically if hes your buddy. Taylor

Re: New Crew Cab Project Truck....
updates. Truck was on the ground, now its back in the air. All control arms are bolted on for the final time, shock are on, spindles and brakes are on. working on my new tie rods at the moment.
Trying to be able to pull this out of the garage by the weekend, but its not looking good. Heres a shot of my new control arms, didnt have to mod my steering to lay on a 33.5" OD tire! Milled my logo into the caps as well, just for fun

Re: New Crew Cab Project Truck....
I have one, but its not quite ready for pics yet. I crashed a tool while cutting it, and it has a gouge in it now, so im going to sand it out and polish it all up before i get any pics up. I will throw some up as soon as possible.

Re: New Crew Cab Project Truck....
Bed floor is in, bed is on the truck, truck is 90% done.
Getting put into storage while i work on a few customer vehicles here in the shop. I dont plan to get this to my body guy, untill late this year, early next year. Raised the bed floor 6", and still have about 10" deep bed now, so it works out well. I reinforced the edges of the bed where i welded it to the truck because being that this is a truck, just like all my other bagged trucks, the bed floor will get used. I haul quads, dirtbikes, tents , guns...bricks... whatever. Truck bed floors are made to get used. Only pic i have from the bed being on the bed. Truck is at ride height, or just slightly above ride height actually. bed is not quite shimmed up right in this pic, but its close, thats the body mans job haha.
