Re: 68' Chevy c10
xxchevymanxx, I finished reading through your build. I just wanted to tell you I enjoyed reading and seeing the pics of your progress. I like that you have taken the time to clean and paint everything. It is looking really nice. You have done a very good job of detailing everything.
The 327 is looking pretty sharp. My truck used to have a 327 in it and it scooted my truck along pretty easily. I have a 350 in it now but would love to have another little 327. Have you decided on a color for the exterior? Anyways keep up the good work. Keith |

Re: 68' Chevy c10
I can't wait to start painting the truck. I've been trying to finish up the body work while the motor is built, and restore engine parts at the same time. I will be able to spend some real time on it now that the weekend is here.

Re: 68' Chevy c10
Well I had a small problem with my gauge bezel.
I used a couple of paints that didn't like each other. So I soaked the whole thing in Purple Power over night, and now I'm starting over. I have it in primer again. so far so good. also been sandblasting more small parts. I'll try to have some pics up soon.

Re: 68' Chevy c10
That sucks. Some paints just dont do to well together. I have that problem sometimes with cheapo rattlecan primer and a decent base/clear. The solvents eat up the primer and there goes your finish.

Re: 68' Chevy c10
Thanks Man. If all goes well today I will have the undercoating done, then installing energy suspension body mount bushings.
All except the core support bushings. Going to put the motor back in first.
