I just finished look at your progress and your build is coming along great. I seems like there is never enough time in the day to get things done that you want to get done. Can't wait to see more pictuers.

Re: 1965 chevy truck one piece @a time
So far chad its just one truck i run a cross people from time to time that sell stuff cheap and im going to use the best of wht i got .. i might get one more truck to build an prostreet . but ive got tomany irons in the fire and still looking for an model a body for the extra frame ve got to build an coupe with that i bought . the one that is being built now will be running an ls3 with an six speed trans . just a couple pics of the coupe so far and i did trow one in of the truck from way back .. i know its a ford coupe
But its has a ls3 motor 6sp trans chevy jag rear indpendent rear disc brakes super bell drop axle wilwood brakes up front about the only thing ford about it is the body {still a work in progress } and this is back before i finished out the paneling in the shop it was a metel building not paneled out so it was nice and toasty in the summer Last edited by niterider65; 02-21-2012 at 11:48 PM. |

Re: 1965 chevy truck one piece @a time
It's always a good thing to clean up. It makes you feel better, and you always find stuff you thought you had lost.
I'm diggin' the Model A! I am a big fan of the early (pre-'49) Fords. Your coupe looks to be really solid, and with the LS3 and a 6-speed, that car is going to fly! As light as it will be, it'll get great gas mileage too. I know that the "traditionalists" might grumble about the late model drivetrain, but I don't drive with my hood open, so what does it matter? I like it!

Nice progress on the truck parts. What did you blast them with? I got to do my ash tray and glove box door also. Keep up the good work.
