Re: Project Immoral Appearance
thank you, got some 22 gauge steel as it is easier to bend around the sides, so it went much faster, and the top is redone in 16 gauge, won't be body worked for quite some time, trying to get everything roughed in so that I can get the doors remounted so I can replace rockers and some of the floor that has some rust, and i only have another 4 days left in texas, so that means I need to hurry lol

Re: Project Immoral Appearance
Wow! looking good. With that chop she's gonna always look like she's moving even when parked. The dash tie in to the A-pillar is shaping up nice as well.

Re: Project Immoral Appearance
thanks, it looks pretty amazing in person, gives it the right amount of aggressive appearance, and the dash actually worked out a lot better than I had invisioned, one piece kinda sucked to make, as I think I threw away 5 pieces that I didn't like, but turned out nicely, I'm gonna take an 1 1/4" out of the hood to match the slope of the roof, which turns out to be 7 degrees down from stock

Re: Project Immoral Appearance
it was actually a pretty pleasant experience, if you want some more info on it, look up the custom classics truck "get shorty" and they have a write up of them going through it step by step, I followed that as I was going, but still needed to do a lot of extra with the chop

Re: Project Immoral Appearance
Well, back for another summer. I recently graduated from Cornell University, and I will be attending the University of Michigan in the fall going for a Ph.D. in Communications. Not too long ago my father commented that he was bored at home, and I jokingly suggested he replace some of the rust on the floorboard of the truck. To my surprise, he actually began the process. Here are some pics as to where the truck is currently. This upcoming weekend we will be picking up some clean front sheet metal at the swapmeet in Conroe, Tx. The plans for the summer are to clean up the rest of the cab, weld and grind everything that is not currently finished. Sandblast the entire cab, and get it in primer/sealer. I will also sandblast and primer/seal my model a while I am at it. The work begins!

Re: Project Immoral Appearance
Good day at the Conroe swap meet yesterday, picked up a new driver side outer and inner fender, along with a core support, 2 hood hinge springs, and some urethane primer for after I finish sand blasting, the fun will soon begin

Re: Project Immoral Appearance
thanks so much! vision might be a bit overstated though. I just spent a lot of time looking at the builds from others and figuring out what I like and don't like. I am doing this truck mostly around a concept I just don't see. And as for execution, its all just patience and practice, sometimes I'll make a part 4 or 5 times because I don't like it, and that's the only one you see a picture off, mostly because I use the other parts as a way to vent my anger (anvil and BFH) Ill keep posting, at this rate I might finish by 2020 lol

Re: Project Immoral Appearance
model a in the paint/blast booth (cheap party tent from sears, so cheap in fact that its missing one wall), my dads current project (56 ford, mustang II front susp, TCI rear leaf spring, 5.3l/700r4, 9" 3.73 gears, foose wheels that were supposed to go on his other truck, but were scratched, so we sent them back to discount tire, and bought them back a year later for half the price
