Nice truck, man. Very clean.

Did you paint the checkered grill insert black? What about the edge behind the middle part that says Chevrolet? It's hard to tell with some pics, whether it is black, or a dark gray. I'm thinking of painting mine, and looking for ideas

Ahhh ... '69 and '70. Gotta love 'em. The two years with scripted grill and the big
Bow Tie was moved up to the hood.

it was covering up a destroyed original bench. just swapped for a good condition bench but the wrong color, so the blanket will go back on till i figure out the final interior idea.

as for the patina, its original alabama baked paint. it sat out in someones yard for alot of years to get that way.

My grill is all original/never painted. I would love to paint the silver dashes, I'm trying to figure out how to do it so it won't look my 11 yr old did the work!

Looks surprisingly good, but if you're saying it needs paint, it could be the pictures are dark and don't show.

If you mask really well, and then use some good Rustoleum spray primer, followed by Rustoleum semi gloss black spray paint, it should look good. I just painted my mirrors black. Not sure I like the black color (I might go with all silver), but the paint job itself turned out professional looking

I also painted my headlight trim rings like the factory black, instead of the rust color they became

And...painted my bed to stop the rust, and make it so I can carry my gear without it getting all brown stained

The wheels were a really nice set from Arizona for 200. I had them powdercoated for 300.
The caps I got off Ebay for $85. They needed some elbow grease but I still got a steal. Hubcap thread is here: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=442352
