Ha ha dude your funny. We lived in the garage for a few years. We designed it and I built it. Almost at times have second thoughts as it is so much work to take care of.:wash: The house matches the garage.

Re: 69 slammed, 22"/24" bbc shaved clean
I just read the entire thread over on garage journal. If you guys have the free time you should check it out. toocrazy's build thread is amazing. It's everything any heterosexual male loves. The garage build, theater room, music room, the house, 66 burban, 64 Chevelle, the Willy, etc, etc, etc. I'm at work and I just spent about 1.5 reading the whole thing. I'm glad my manager is out today. Lol.

It is nice to work in but too much room for stuff and I find myself cleaning the darn thing 3 times a week. It gets in the way of progress. thank you. this darn C10 truck built is going to suck the life out of me. It has taken a lot more work than I planned but we can't stop now. |

Re: 69 slammed, 22"/24" bbc shaved clean
Well finally we have some paint on the frame The chassis is still sitting in our paint booth (a tent from Sams) so these are the best pictures I could get for now. I can't wait to start bolting on the suspension and getting a rolling chassis. We are in the middle of building a "build room" in the garage so I guess it will be next week until we can move the frame back in the garage.

Re: 69 slammed, 22"/24" bbc shaved clean
Finally, no bolts. That is the way it should look. That is so much better looking then the bolt on kit. I can only imagine the amount of time it took to smooth all the welds.

Really like the color on the frame. Very clean and subtle... almost looks like it has a bit of a texture also. Very nice!

Re: 69 slammed, 22"/24" bbc shaved clean
hey guys just showing you whats been up the last 3 days. because of the mess of all of the grinding, sanding..........you know what i mean......I decided to build a "dirty room" for all of the fabrication stuff going on. I had it in the original plans of the garage so we vaulted the ceiling in this particular corner. Up in the loft area is some great storage area for stuff. We are framing out an opening in front of the loft so we can shove stuff up there with the forklift. it is 23 feet deep by 16 foot wide at the narrowest width. The room is bumped out for an area for tool boxes. I plan on installing a 14' wide garage door on the front. It the back I have a high velocity exhaust fan to keep the dust out. Hope you like it.
