Another pic K1rodeo sent me on his trek from NC to CA. Very "interesting" mod. These are the only 3 pics he sent and it was somewhere in Kentucky. Looks like a merge of at least 2 if not 3 different body styles. Also...note the hoods been cut to open like most cars. ***CORRECTION*** truck is in Roswell, NM.

There's a 65-66 Chevy shortbed fleetside sitting in a guys backyard here in my neighborhood. I'll have to get a pic of it sometime looks to be in pretty good shape too.

The red and white one I snapped at a red light in Las Vegas last week. It was immaculate, so I had to grab a pic. If the owner is on this forum, I just want to say nice truck and I hope you don't mind me sharing.

The red and white one is Bantley's truck off of the TV show american restoration.

Yep gauges are in and i have installed a factory steering wheel as well. Still waiting on vacuum guage though.

It may be a NM truck, but the pics were taken in KY

Hmmm...he sent quite a few pics, maybe he was mistaken....or possibly (more likely) I read his message wrong. I haven't been in either state in years, so I wouldn't know. Thanks for the correction though.

Met up w/Sharps40 & his son today. Got some pics of his 1964 Ol John Lee and my 1963 side by side. Only got to chat an hour...but what a great time. We kept getting interrupted in the Walmart parking lot by people driving by and stopping in to look at them.

Sure was good to meet up and have an impromptue truck show too. By interest seems we have the best lookin trucks on scene. Thanks f/the tire carrier - should have it on pretty quick. Lookin forward to wrenchin and drivin with my boy. Gotta get him one now too

No rush. Set it aside for me and when ya get the tag holder done and/or locate that right side wiper blade houseing, that too if you still want to sell it all. We'll get together bout anytime. I'll be out tryin to slay more deer to haul in the back of Ol John Lee the next few days anyway. Brought two home from SC (that trip was great, broke in the new clutch and got 18.23 MPG on the highway from that old 283, no complaints at all!), looking to get some on the home turf here in NC now. Big honkin buck would be a sweet photo and an inspirational trip home!

Man I missed all the fun and trucks. I spent the week in Sanford at my wife's sister's and we went to Fayetteville a few days. Never saw any 60-66's but one earlier and a few older.

Wished we'd have run into ya, figuratively speaking. Nice cross country ride in an old truck. My longest trip in Ol John Lee to date is about 400 miles round trip to the low country of SC for hunting in Sept of this year. Brought a buck an a doe home for the freezer too. A toolbox on the hitch rack with two deer and 120 lbs of ice is just right to smooth out the ride on the new rear suspension! Now that I've seen 1963c-10's ride, I'm thinking I need to clean the old paint, including the Earl Shives peeling paint over and polish the chrome. A little shine and a little flat looks great on the road.

I also saw what appears to be a 62 or 63 SB Fleatside sittin at a pawn shop in Fayetteville. Its got heavy patina from what looks like at least a couple trucks. I suppose I'll have to stop by and see if its for sale and the price is reasonable. Might have to drive it home.

Its a 63 with the incorrect grill. He has been working on that truck at the pawn shop for almost 20 years. He wont sell it...and probably wont even talk about it.
