Re: Project Down Range.

I totally get the family first aspect. My build would have taken about 1/4 as long if I was single. No complaints from me though.

The frame is looking great!

Re: Project Down Range.

Would love to! I like to make guest appearances at the El Cajon cruises. I don't stay the whole time mostly because by the time I get off work all the clubs have secured most of the spots.

Chevy Mike here on the board has started a "hot rod haulers" club that meets every other month up in Miramar. I have not had a chance to go recently because of the truck not running but I am giong to start going again. It is still a small club and most of the guys trucks are in the same condition as yours "bits and pieces all over the garage"but it is good to network.

Re: Project Down Range.

Well a few updates its starting to look like a truck again, and my powerplant plans have changed. Now it will be powered by a forged 370, ported 243 cylinders and this... A Lysholm twin screw supercharger set to kill mode. My goal is 600 hp @ the wheels because I dont want to have any trouble merging into traffic. Also will be filling the firewall and gas filler this week and finishing up the mods to the buddy buckets to send off the the upholster.

Re: Project Down Range.

It is an impressive piece of hardware for sure.
Travis, it was good to meet you on Saturday. Someday I would like to put an LS motor in my truck... someday.

Yeah i swear by the LS motors now as far as power potential there is no equal. I have had everything from blown small blocks to solid roller big blocks... And Mike a motor is just a salvage yard away.
