Before the "Custom Camper" option became available, you had to specifically order options to be a comfortable camper hauler. Most all the options available in '66, were available in '64, but most car salesmen and first time buyers did a poor job of equipping these earlier C20's properly.

ive slept in my carryall /cant call it a camper !!! lets stick to camper pics please !? ive got an open road chassis mount camper that had a bad camper shell,that i removed,from the truck .i will be digging it out of storage soon ,i will take a pic of the unit,its a low mileage ,327.4 speed truck,i need ro repair the butcher job on back of cab ,or crew cab it ??? would make a neat car hauler or build a new camper on the back ????? pics sooon !!

Most of the photos in this thread are vintage. However, I recently met a fellow who still uses his '66 C20 as his front-line camping rig with an incredibly clean 1968 Holiday Rambler camper. Pretty cool setup. Still has the orginal (rebuilt) 327 and TH400 trans. I was hoping he might join us here and chime in. But since he hasn't yet, I thought I'd share some pics. Check out the oversize wheels front and rear.
