Re: Build thread, 70 c10 my first ride
well I have figured out my fuel level gauge.. I am going to remove the factory ls1 sensor and replace it with my original 70 sender it may take a lil finesse but I looked at it the other day and it seems plausible that I can make it work I will keep you guys posted on that, other then that I am still working on the harness (will be done soon) I am almost done with the pass side trailing arm.. then I will weld them down the two sides together paint them and I will be done with those!

Re: Build thread, 70 c10 my first ride
Well guys I have a couple of updates for you! I got the trailing arms done and painted with some help from dad (he helped finish up the welding, I was so burned out on it lol) and got the new poly urethane bushings in, and now have them back under the truck, I got the fuel lines ran and mounted, cut the hole in the frame for the filler neck, OH and I got some goodies in my new gauge cluster bezel and lens, and a black carpet (all from brothers classic truck parts) I like the quality a lot! Also just for kicks and giggles I posted a pic of my sunny day driver (for now) along side its newer model pretty cool pic I think
edit: I forgot to mention that I started working on my fuel level sensor, got the plans laid out and have began to make the mod, if anyone wants me to I will do a write up on it LS1 tank/pump/sending unit, modded to use a 1970 sending unit (so you can use the factory fuel gauge)

Re: Build thread, 70 c10 my first ride
well LMC took their sweet time shipping out my stuff... anyways its supposed to arrive to the warehouse (owned by the company I work for) today, so I will have everthing home tonight, and I will organize everything, and make a priority list, then I will take the majority of the weekend off from the truck because dad is going to be gone, and next week is Ashleys and my anniversary (3 years) so we will be spending most of out time together, which is fine with me, but I will try to get something done and of course I will be posting pics of whatever I do.
finally I have a update for you guys too, I finally got my core support off (now I have another thing to repair, I will show you guys before and after) after draining the coolant, and then I drained the tranny, then organized the shop some and cleaned up some in preparation of lots of stuff coming to the shop today

Re: Build thread, 70 c10 my first ride
holy crap its been forever since i have posted.... lol I have been working on her lol.. got the floor replaced, and the rockers and cab corners removed, I actually had to replace the bottom of both the A and B pillars on both sides, and now I am going to have to work on my kick panels they are a little crusty too.. I hope all this money and work turns out good... the floor looks fantastic!, anyways I also got my addco sway bar on that I bought from BROTHERS. Its a good looking piece but it did take quite a bit of work to make it fit, not truly a bolt on. frame rails are painted except for the engine bay area, next up is pulling the 350/350 combo and putting the 4.8/4l60e in, dad made me some really nice engine mount plates, really excited to have the LS in soon. well guys of course I took pics for you guys, not nearly as many as you guys probably want but I usually forget to take them...

Re: Build thread, 70 c10 my first ride
working on the shifter, found out that i could use the old shifter with simply modifying the location and size of the bell crank and puting the factory transmission end on the 4l60e
