Re: LSX swappers what ya got?!?!

Thanks nlped ... I about have the body work on the cab done. It turned into a lot more than I expected. Put a complete floor in, corners, rockers, kick panels, smoothed the firewall... Just a lot more than I thought. I appreciate the kind words. Frame came from Scott's Hot Rods by the way, I can't build anything like that. I'll post some pix when I get it mounted.

Do those tubes' collectors hang below your oil pan? Based on my measurements they would be at least 1" below my f-body pan, which I'm trying to avoid.

Re: LSX swappers what ya got?!?!

They are lower than my oil pan, however it won't be a problem for me. If you look at the attached pic you can see how much they hang down in relation to the frame rails

Thanks, saved me some hassle there... looks like LTs are out of the question for me because I'm trying to get my engine to sit as low as possible.

Re: LSX swappers what ya got?!?!

Ok guys and gals, been a while since I been on here...so howdy..lol...Sweet Pea is getting an upgrade. 5.3 twin turbo. I have done a few L.S swaps but none in the 63 to 72 chassis...so my question is what oil pan are you guys running with air or lowered?. I have the stock truck pan, but I think there will be clearance issues when aired out... I also have a stock 6.0 pan out of a camaro. Which I think will clear the ground better but will have chassis issues....any help would be awesome...
