Re: 56 Mild Custom Build
Process painting the sign on the drivers side door
And pretty much the finished product. Just need to button up a few things and she will be cruising. I'm pretty pleased how this one turned out. I had my doubts thur the process and almost sanded her down and respayed her, but I'm glad I didn't. Last edited by BIG10SILVERADO; 08-12-2013 at 02:28 PM. |

looking good man! I hope to get a couple days off next week to work on mine too. I'll at least get the black on before next weekend.

Re: 56 Mild Custom Build
Looks nice. Are you going to sand lettering to give a patina look to it?

Re: 56 Mild Custom Build
i have found the best way to weather it is with a rag and some reducer. Just use 1 finger behind it and rub in the direction of the paint. It should weather it perfectly. I'll be doing the same thing when I paint the shop logo on my doors

Re: 56 Mild Custom Build
Paint is still wet. When its dry ill touch it up and make the circle more round and the lines more straight. Pretty difficult to get a perfect circle.

And here's the shop logo patina'd. Still need to "age" the rest of the door.

Re: 56 Mild Custom Build
Got the door and kick panels cut out today. Still need to figure how I'm going to cover them and the what arm rest to use. And mount the speaker in the kick panel.
