Re: TCI to start new R&D Project with a C10!
Will a shockwave fit in there?

Be interesting on where the frame sits aired out. Ya found a set of wheels for the blue truck yet? Be nice to see it on the ground and get a look at the stance with the suspension at the designed ride height. .

Here are some of the pics from the Shockwave mock up yesterday (based on a 26" tall tire). This is with the 2" Ridetech shock extension, I am hopeful the 1" top will clear the control arm cross shaft. This will give another 1.125"-1.25" of compressed travel but will keep the suspension below its designed operating range. I will mock these up today sometime just to know. Our bumper is bent up on the driver side so the frontal view looks a little off. The driver side is roughly an inch higher than the passenger. Looking underneath the bumper at the crossmember. This picture is a little deceiving because I couldn't get the camera low enough to get the true height. The crossmember is closer to 1.75". The front frame head just behind the front bumper. Keep in mind that the rear suspension is still at ride height so once it is aired down this height will actually go up. This is the front cab mount. Keep in mind that the rear suspension is still at ride height so once it is aired down this height will go down. -J |

I uploaded a short video to Facebook of the Shockwaves cycling. I also put it up on our Instagram page (TCI_Engineering) if you don't have Fb.

Re: TCI to start new R&D Project with a C10!
Our shop is busy and full leading up to SEMA so we teamed up with Mark Oja from Custom Rod Garage to help us test fit our IFS on a Square body. This is Mark's personal truck. It is a low mileage, 3rd owner truck that is completely unmolested.
The frame rails are taller on the Square body so we will need to rework the upper shock mount and our inner frame plate. The top of the rail is also narrower on the Square body. So we took a ton of measurements and pictures and we will rework the necessary pieces and try again. -J Last edited by slow4dr; 10-21-2014 at 01:08 PM. |

Any work on the blue truck? Really looking forward to seeing it on the new wheels and getting a look at the stance with a body on the frame.

On a positive note, the bed went to the paint shop last week. I will try to put some pressure on the powers that be to get the fenders on so when the bed comes back we can get some ride height shots. -J |

Re: TCI to start new R&D Project with a C10!
Here is a preview of the Installation Manual for the IFS. I am still working with R&D to come up with a simple way to cut the early ('63-'66) inner panels to clear the shock mount.

Re: TCI to start new R&D Project with a C10!
Not much has happened on our truck with lately. The Custom Rod Garage truck pictured above (square body) was also put on hold. That is the same shop that does the Overhaulin show so they pretty much have to drop everything for that. We have one of dealers that stepped up to the plate and will have the first completed truck any day now.
This was from a few weeks back. We are already shipping the Torque Arm rear suspensions. I should have an official press release for that any day now. |

Re: TCI to start new R&D Project with a C10!
Thanks for the update. Really looking forward to seeing a completed truck and what issues they come across getting one up and running. Seeing what they do with the steering and exhaust on a LS setup will be interesting.

Re: TCI to start new R&D Project with a C10!
I looked on the site a week or so ago and could not find anything on how this was coming. Good to see it back and making head way.

Slowly making progress on fixing all the rust issues and filling holes.
Mocked up some Doug's Headers on the LSx. They seem to fit perfectly. These headers are for a Chevelle. Part# D3336-R -J Last edited by slow4dr; 09-01-2015 at 12:40 PM. |

They have had all the stuff available on the web site for a while. Have not seen any build threads with it.

Re: TCI to start new R&D Project with a C10!
Not much to report lately. Most of our energy in the 4th quarter was focused on getting parts out. I made some marketing plans for April/May 2017 that include this truck so they better get on it. LOL
