Re: Martin's mi-STRESS, 1965 Long Fleetside C10 "Rebuild in ENGLAND"
Wheels Day has to be the best £5.00 you get to spend all year and its for charity.
Good to see you guys. Nicola got a load of sunburn on her face and looks like "Batman" I managed to spend £55.00 on "Stuff" Nicola made me buy and wear a Sheriff's badge that says "LICENSED JUBK COLLECTOR" I guess you did not find another door for your truck. I will upload a few of Nicola's photos later and post up here if you want???

PS. I noted there were probably about 8-10 Chevy C10's and a GMC.

The caps were only £10 for the two and the pencil drawing will be copied so you can have one too

Well today instead of going back to the car show I went to a bike auto jumble . I got some more tools as you can never have to many . I also got some off set bulb holders so I can fit amber bulbs in my truck white lenses . Her are a few pics

Re: Martin's mi-STRESS, 1965 Long Fleetside C10 "Rebuild in ENGLAND"
Well the strip down has started
Last night I ordered my front and rear two inch lowered springs and shocks from Brothers . It worked out better to do a double order with Rian so we could split the shipping . So tonight when I got home from work I started stripping the front off . |

Quote:
I give you Exhibit A How do you plead?? Thanks for ordering our shocks n springs. I guess for the American readers we need to put things in perspective. Just on combining shipping, we save about $110.00 to the UK. I do not remember the total price you paid, but once we have landed the parts, it comes to about $730.00 once import duty and tax is added for the parts, so about $182.00 or in English money £107.00 per corner.

Doesn't look like the M5 will be moving much anytime soon... Trucklock, not gridlock...

Re: Martin's mi-STRESS, 1965 Long Fleetside C10 "Rebuild in ENGLAND"
Once I strip the truck down to the chassis I will be sending it off to get sand blasted . I will then be able to move the mx5 if I need to ok RIAN The trouble is I have the Mondeo estate and my Mercedes convertable to use and two bikes so the mx5 has just been put on the back burner . I do need to move it on though so yes I should have got that finished before starting the truck

Re: Martin's mi-STRESS, 1965 Long Fleetside C10 "Rebuild in ENGLAND"
Well what a busy weekend
Saturday I went over to Essex to collect my replacement bumper from the importers . When I ordered my front fenders and front bumper the bumper got damaged in transit . So the importers STS in Essex ordered me a replacement . One of the lads had dropped it when they unloaded the container , but they put there hands up and admitted they had done it and replaced it . So I got a new one and Rian got to purchase the damaged one . It's nice to deal with Ron the owner of STS as they didn't argue or blame the couriers that brothers used to send it to them , they just ordered me a replacement at there cost . |

Re: Martin's mi-STRESS, 1965 Long Fleetside C10 "Rebuild in ENGLAND"
Sunday Rian popped over as I needed a push with the truck and a hand to put my new front screen somewhere safe . But as usual when he pops over a small job becomes a lot bigger job . I was going to put the glass in my garage on the shelf but there wasn't enough room for it . So Rian suggested making a shelf in the car port . So off to the local diy store to purchase the timber needed .
We then made a shelf to put the screen onto for safe keeping Then we made a second set of supports to put the screen up higher leaving the large shelf for storage Once this was all finished we then could get on with the truck |

Re: Martin's mi-STRESS, 1965 Long Fleetside C10 "Rebuild in ENGLAND"
Once the truck was put away and Rian had gone home . I decided to finish of the car port to keep the rain out at the shelf end . I had some of the roof material left so I used it to block in above the fence panels
