Yes it is a short pump.

Like i said in 2wd form i had about another 3/4 of inch at the firewall of clearence and it seemed like i had more at the front of the motor. But im not about to swap everything back over to verify.

I moved on i think all is good.

Alot of progress, finished all wiring, all lights works everything has good grounds.

Also installed my front diff cover from chassis unlimites to match the rear, these things are pure beef.








Got the bed and front clip swapped over, front tire is a 35 rear a 33, im pretty sure im going 35s






Also started working on my fuel filler.

Fuel filler looks good, the 33's look small and the 35's just right.

Your build looks great, If you haven't found a drive shaft any 1/2 ton with slip yoke should work 208 or 241 tc, if you can find one longer should be around 35.00 to have shortened. On your bumpers with the body lift back just weld a piece of angle on top of your frame and relocate holes for bumper, this way you don't loose any strength if you still want to tow a trailer, the front just cut your frame horns off and move them up an inch or whatever your body lift is. I have an 85 blazer I did it with a 3 inch body lift, bumper looks stock now.

Nice transformation. Are you going white now on body color? Those big blocks are tight in there. I put one in a 69 k20 I pulled with and it was a sob to get the tall valve covers off it.

Thanks diesel, yes its going to be white. Figured easiest to paint behind the cab now so i dont have tl pull the bed again.

Didnt realize its been this long on the build, my wife and i bought our first home march 18th and its been a month of no sleep, new carpet, close a few doors just to open another one, paint all rooms, new bathroom flooring, etc. But we moved in this weekend so in a few weeks i should be back at it.

In my opinion you may have turning problems with the 35's. I think they will hit the back of the front fenders. You want to try your turning radius before buying tires.

I agree on the tires hitting, my last 71 had 35's but needed min of 5"s of lift and were still close, but the 35's sure look better than the 33's.

Could always look for the stock Hummer size tires, they were a 34.5" tire in the size of 315/70/17.

Turning radius combined with hitting some bumps, rocks curbs or what have you..

I'd like 35's also but am concerned about hitting the fenders as well, my BDS 4" springs give me 12" from the top of the front tire to the top of the fender well with BFG 33's, just not sure its gonna clear the rear of the opening and would hate to spend the coin and find out i have a problem

Appreciate all the concerns, i already bought the 35s before i even put one on. 500 for like new 35 bfgs wouldnt be hard to sell.

But they clear 100 percent fine, i drove the truck the 22 miles to my new house with no rubbing at all.

35s and 4 inches clear fine fore street driving, now that is with factory rallies so i dont have to worry about offset of aftermarket wheels.

I would never go bigger then a 16 on a old 4x4 so 315 70 17 where out of the question.

I'd like to know the lift size and if you get a chance can you post a pic of the wheel turned and showing a shot of the clearance to the rear of the fender opening?

This is for my information to help me decide if i should buy 35's next for my other set of rims.

Truck is basically done, got interior in, everything underneath checked and tightened, painted (which i did a paint job most will hate on here), drove it around town about 300 miles so far.

Really need front inner wheel wells before i throw a rock into the hood, and need radio antenna cable, bed line bed, and turn signal lense.

I got to thinking about thisnpost the other nighg, never did grt pics, but i have a 4 inch rough country lift, which everyone says wont clear, but i alsp have off road design shackles which are slightly longer then stock so i think thatmight be the difference.

I wanted to use the truck and not be afraid of scratchimg a nice paint job, and i wsnted all the trim which i dont have and csnt afford. So I figure over time ill buy trim piece by piece and when i have it i will do a proper paint job.

I just bought some headlight housings very similar to those. Im going to try them with HIDs.

In need of some help guys. My front turn signals wont work unless i hold thr bulb in (loose socket). So i am looking for the turn signal pigtail that runs from my light in the grill to the core support. I can find it in lmc or anywhere else, its a 1157 bulb.
