Love this picture. When my wife and I go on trips, we always look for trucks in covered sheds... Very nice!

Re: Roll Call for the 1965s!
lotsa great trucks, thnank you guys for posting!
just rememebered a couple of funny super shops stories.. started my patronage at the one on 7 hwy in blue springs and finishd at the ones on PCH n orange in LB and beach blvd in HB HB was my last super shops visit, bought a set of 35 falkens series for my 95 impala s.. anywho.. 'round '91 when returning from desert storm, I was at the long bach store specing some parts for my buddy's split bumper camaro and browsing the national dragster rag on the counter, you know, the one printed on oversized news print.. in the classified, there was a 67 gto in ontario and I was telling my buddy 'dang that's bada$$ , but its in canada'.. he says 'you dope [or smething similar a sailor might say to onother sailor], ontario ca is in CALIFORNIA, about 30 miles away! long story short, met the seller and I bought it! second super shops story, no boring pictures I promise.. somewhere around 93-94 after pulling out of pch store, which btw, if you ever been to a super shops, you don't leave quietly, especially in a 550hp goat.. I turned left onto pch from side street orange and melted the m&h racemasters for a good half block! smoke show extravaganza.. all in front of an LB motor cop....... oops.. so as he strolls up to the car, smoke still looming from the car and the interstection, congratulates me and writes me a ticket for loud noise ONLY [3' single chamber flowmasters dumped in front of axle = LOUD] he coulda hemmed me up for 10 cites but gave a sailor a break and said something ablout people watching everything and felt he should at least hand me at least something.. lol in the car with me was IC2 babcock.. yep, couple of buddies were telling me recently he's a leading nuclear radiological doctor of some kind in the midwest! damn proud of my old shipmate! whats the hell happened to us?! please don't look him up to bug him, but since he's a high end doctor now, I recon he could remember that cheers to super shops, really miss that place!!!

Re: Roll Call for the 1965s!
This is our 65 short box fleetside. Have owned it for about 20 years. Bought it with a 230 6 cyl and 3 on the tree. Changed it over to a S10 5 speed and drove it for about 5 years at which time it came off the road. Later crossmemeber with P/S and P.D.B. Seat is a 60/40 split out of a 1994 Silverado. Fit in really nice. Also installed a used 292 six cyl with headers and a 4bbl. Truck worked real good up until last year when we pulled the motor to freshen it up. Had the lump ports installed in the head with bigger valves, .060 overbore, mild cam, roller rockers and balanced the assembly. Only has about 500 miles since the rebuild. Also running dual exhaust with Langdon's split manifolds. Lot of fun to drive and it also tows our camper trailer.
