Your truck is really coming along and looking great! You'll be driving it in no time.
If you don't mind sharing, what are the actual paint colors/codes you ended up with? At least on the computer, that blue looks like one of the colors I've been considering for my truck - what I would call gunmetal blue. Looks great with the silver you chose.

Wow. All I can say is wow. I just went through this tread, and that is some amazing work. I officially have a problem, because I am 95% finished with my 72 4x4 build and I am already thinking about my next project. I started thinking "it would be nice to put a Duramax in one of these" and came across this thread. It looks awesome, do you have any updates.

Great progress!! You are doing exactly what I am doing! Except I am putting everything from a 01 ext cab Z71 into my 87 single cab long bed 4x4. I am also going to be using the instrument cluster, steering column et cetera but not push button 4x4. Only thing I havne't figured out is how to integrate old heating/ac controller from 87 into the 01 wiring harness. AC isn't real important but heat is a must.

This is hands down the coolest 67-72 build I have ever seen. At this point it's so hard to do something unique but you nailed it. I'm glad you went duramax and not cummins. The fact that you put it on a modern chassis is awesome. This thing would sure turn some heads pulling a 30' toy hauler. Keep it up, can't wait to see it done. And hi from a local even though I don't know where Kalama is

Thank you all for your comments. I've been hard at work to try and get paint on the project before the rain and cold weather returns to the northwest. I have lots to update you on and have not forgot about those of you that have asked questions. I should finish painting this weekend and will then get updates posted.
