Re: Mike's 50
hope everyone had a safe and Happy 4th. I haven't been working much on the truck. Little bit with the inner front fenders.
Got my daughter off this last Monday the 29th to Air Force Basic training. so last couple of weeks have been getting her apartment packed up and moved to storage. still need to finish and clean for her. Plan on getting back to the truck in the next couple weeks hopefully,

Re: Mike's 50
Yes I did. Thanks you very much for your time. I'm trying to fit a rear wheel that will fill the tub.. it seems like this is starting to become a game of inches. .

Re: Mike's 50
Great build and very nice work! I just picked up a 1951 3100 this week. I am looking at complete chassis and I've found that set up the same, the AM chassis is about $3k more than the TCI. What made you choose AM? I'm still searching to find other builds that may have used the TCI but my searching skills are apparently not the best.

Re: Mike's 50
74Project, The factory Exhaust Manifolds would not fit in the chassis. Not sure of the steering.

Re: Mike's 50
Got some done this weekend. I made some brackets to mount the front of the seat (no Pictures). Also took the rear suspension out and Primed and Painted. Ran out of paint and need to order more. I'm using Eastwood 2k epoxy primer and 2k Chassis gloss black. Plan to use a Satin Black on the Frame. Will also use the Gloss on the upper and lower front control arms. A little progress is better than none...

Re: Mike's 50
got the front control arms done and the rest of the rear covered. like the paint but expensive. think I'm going to buy a cheap gone and quarts of the paint for the frame.
Any one have experience with the 2K paint and epoxy primers from Eastwood and the durability?

Re: Mike's 50
No help on the primers and paints but I use what's local to me. Question for you, what rad did you use? Most posts I see state Champion or Walker but no part numbers or links to the exact rad. Any more pictures if the install? I have to be doubly sure on what I'm ordering as I'm ordering from Canada and may be hard to return.

Re: Mike's 50
Sid answered your PM. have no other pictures right now. think I posted a picture in my thread but had to modify the radiator support to move radiator forward for clearance then switched to absolute radiator support.

Re: Mike's 50
Solidaxel, thanks, might look into tractor paint. brand ? where did you purchase? looking to do satin black on frame. found this paint is not very chip resistant.
