Re: In memory of Tom Bowlin: the little green truck build

No updates lately. I've just been driving her everyday. Later this summer I will have to pull the top end of the engine back apart and clean out all the oil and soot that has built up in the intake.

I just bought a new daily driver so I can stop racking up the miles on my little green truck. The miles are currently at 70,2xx and I don't want to put much more on it any time soon.

Standby on more progress later this summer. In the meantime, here is my new daily driver! 4.3L, 5 speed, 3.42 gears, 157k miles:

Well, I thought I would change things up and run the stock wheels for a change.

Looks OK, but I like your other rims better. Maybe if those were wider rims. BUT, she still looks real good!

I love it. Looks like you just brought home from the dealership. Yet, the other rims are just as cool on such a sweet truck.

Yeah I like the other wheels better too, but I need to replace two of the tires and am playing it cheap this month.

Re: In memory of Tom Bowlin: the little green truck build

I just noticed you have the same mirrors I need for my k10. Are they new? Or original to the truck? If new, where did you get them or what is that type called?

Re: In memory of Tom Bowlin: the little green truck build

Yeah, it's time to move on with life and focus on other priorities. She is an amazing rig, but it's time for some one else to enjoy her beauty. I'll build another one some day.

Sorry that all of my pictures no longer work in this thread everyone. Photo bucket has become greedy and wants me to pay $400 per year to allow my images to be seen on 3rd party websites. Well...they can suck it, they're not getting a dime from me.

I'll still be around the site chatting it up here and there, but for now this thread has finally come to an end. Thank you all who supported and helped along the way!

Someone at photo bucket needs a punt to the nuts, if for nothing but the loss of this thread. That's a lot of truck for the money, hope it goes to a good home.
