After about one month, Jesse was able to fit it in and get going on the blasting.
Cab turned out pretty good. I was pleased. Doors and hood turned out good too!!!

Re: Project "Buffalo Blizzard Surprise" 71 SWB build
Both original fenders turned out nice. No rot or holes. Nice to have a truck that came from Arizona.

Bought some Slosh Tubz sheet metal for the firewall. Ended up not using the side filler panels.

Re: Project "Buffalo Blizzard Surprise" 71 SWB build
I wanted to try to use One Piece Products rear window, but it wouldn't fit right. When compared to my stock glass I could see that it was off slightly on the driver side. In order to use it I would have to tweak the window opening slightly. I'm debating.

Got the body work going on the firewall.
Closed off and welded the channel, all the way around.

Time to start shaving the drip rail. The plan is weld in a 1/4" dia piece of rod around the door.

Re: Project "Buffalo Blizzard Surprise" 71 SWB build
The only major rust on the truck was the rear window channel. Really lucked out with this original sheet metal. This will need some repair.

Re: Project "Buffalo Blizzard Surprise" 71 SWB build
Needed to make a patch panel for the rear window channel. This was how it was done.
Finished piece. Just needed to cut out the old section and weld this in. Here we go...

Shaved the dash by removing the radio speaker hole and defroster vents.
Also more work on the shaved drip rails.

Re: Project "Buffalo Blizzard Surprise" 71 SWB build
Drilled some holes in the firewall for my master cylinder and steering column. If you notice there's only two holes for the master and they're not studs. I drilled the stock pedal mount and installed rivet nuts in two holes for the master. This way I can use button head screws for a cleaner mount. The other holes have studs on the back of the firewall for mounting into the bracket.

I decided to install some Trique Altman Easy Latches for my doors. I'm also going to try the Honda door seals. Hopefully, I have some nice closing doors.
