Just got my JBAs delivered tonight and I like them a L-O-T

I actually got ones for an 88 to 95 because they have ball flange collectors on both sides. I "might" have to use shorty plugs, but that's no big deal to me

No problem clearing engine mounts either

They seem to clear the frame well also. The collectors don't look like they will have any problems.

I tried putting up enough pics, because I know everyone always has questions about header fitment, but don't seem to be enough good pictures out there.

No problems clearing the tranny either and I'm running a 700R4

Once I did a final fitment, the headers didn't fit 100% perfect, only about 95%.

The only thing had had to do, was trim the back of this bracket a little for clearance. I'll accept that all day everyday, on headers that are meant for an 88-95 truck

Camaro is next in line for a complete teardown as soon as the C10 is finished. Right now it has a lumpy 396 punched or .060 backed up by a turbo 400.

It is getting a full makeover which includes new paint, new custom interior and full Hotchkis TVS suspension package and possibly OD

Hey there. Been long time since I've updated this thread. Been dealing with some serious family health issues and have even been laid up for over 2 months myself from a serious hernia surgery (not including the month plus on the shelf before I could even get in for it).

Anyway things are starting to progress again now, so here are a couple of teaser pics. One is of a few patches that I had to make and the other pic is of a patch that I am making, only because I want to.

Should be plenty of pic updates coming over the next couple of weeks, just to get back on track here.

A little shaving in preparation of moving around some dashboard items

After a long day of grinding and welding in the garage, I am now sitting at my computer and finished up some serious parts ordering too.

I ordered a Champion aluminum radiator with dual electric fans & shroud. Just not liking that it was polished, but I can take care of that easy enough.

Then I went over to Laidback Recreations and purchased a Vintage Air kit, with a few extras for the truck. From there I hit up Matt's Classic Bowties for a black powdercoated Wilwood master/proportioning valve set-up and residual valve

Finally I used Summit Racing to pick up a stainless carb feedline, header collectors and a black Lokar oil dipstick.

My credit card was smoking so hard by the time I was done, my CC company actually called me before allowing the final transaction, because they wanted to make sure it wasn't being used fraudulently.

The big brown truck is going to be making some nice stops at my house over the next coming week or two

The big brown truck already showed up today.

I went to install my collectors and they don't fit properly. Started to install my fuel feed line in my brand new carb and it seized up. Now the fuel line and my front Bowl are ruined. Currently working with Summit Racing to figure out a resolution. So far they have come up with replacing the line and selling me another carb at cost (not doing that), or selling me a new Bowl at 20% off.

They are definitely trying hard, but right now Im not really happy with either solution until I talk to Holley.

In the meantime, I decided to fabricate and mock up a panel, so that both sides of the firewall match each other.

A little update on my fuel line dilemma from yesterday. The first picture is showing how far the fitting went on by hand, before it bound up so bad that I couldn't get it to move one bit more, either way, no matter what I did. Only needed about one more half-turn before it would have fully seated

The second picture shows as I started trying to cut it away and drill it out of there.

Final pic shows a new fitting back in place after about 3 hours of work removing all of the old fitting and re-tapping the bowl with a borrowed 7/8-20 tap.

I'd call that a successful day. Now I just need to get a new fuel line.

Just started cutting my cross member so I can route my exhaust through it. I'm going to fabricate my exhaust with 2 1/2" pipe, so I used a 3 1/2" diameter pipe to route it through. With my truck having a 5/7 drop, I've got to keep things high and tight

Got my cab all stripped yesterday. Came out pretty good

Couple of side shots too. Rockers and floor weren't blasted because they're getting replaced anyway

Also had my inner fender wells and rad support stripped, but no pics on my phone

Got my panel fabbed up and welded in today, so that both sides of the firewall are symmetrical.

I also started closing out the firewall gutter too. It's definitely a LOT of work, but will be worth it all when done

Not much to show today. Just working on more of the firewall gutter.

Trying to do at least one thing to the truck everyday now. Even if it's only 20 minutes or an hour each day. Every little bit helps
