Updates: Cab is done. Ended up putting a lot more new metal in this thing than anticipated so rather than attempting to match the patina to the roof, doors, etc, Im going to go ahead and re-patina the entire cab. Its really the only way to make it look good in my opinion. Very happy with how the metal work came out. This is with zero filler anywhere and just primed to prevent rust. Once everything is mocked up it'll go back to my buddy for paint/body work. The list ended up being: -Entire rear panel -Inner cab corners -Inner cowls -Outer cowls -The joining piece between them -2 parts of the firewall where the cowls meet the firewall -Entire front section of the floor/toe board -Entire rear section of the floor behind the seat riser -Entire rear upper panel from side to side including the rear window frame -One part of the drivers inner rocker -2 small pieces back by the seat riser -Both corners of the windshield frame New rear panel gets rid of the fuel filler hole. +1 Started to burn in the boxing plates I had made so I can get this chassis off to the blaster and painted. More updates soon

Re: 49, bagged, 6.0, patina, the works
Thanks! I come from a background of building older Volkswagens and BMW's. I used to share a shop with a friend and that was actually his girlfriends car. Was g60 swapped from a corrado, single round conversion, respray, etc. cool little car. I just sold my ABA swapped mk1 cabriolet to help fund this build about 2 months ago.

Re: 49, bagged, 6.0, patina, the works
Possibly the most informative photos I've seen on a build. Just good angles Thanks for that. The cab looks sweet in the background of pic #2. Coming along nicely

Really clean work man! Did you end up painting your motor silver? My aluminum parts are horrible looking, but am hesitant to spray everything black.

I did paint it. Just took some time with a wire wheel and then shot it. Sadly I haven't worked on the truck too much. Work has been nuts and I've just been out on the bike a lot in the nice weather. Brakes and steering are next!
